The 4p subscription for $10m worth of shares is a pretty good result but this is also included: ‘ Shield may incorporate a broader equity offering to existing shareholders and other investors should the Subscription proceed. ’

Whether they pull off 4p for that is another story.

I think three years but the sale of DX should raise enough cash to cover the next two years worth of payments… and I wouldn’t be surprised if Avacta is sold before that final third needs to be thought about.

If that happens alongside the news we’re all waiting for THX should be a $500m mcap company

Those of us who positioned for a big move in gold took on the added risk of small cap miners like THX in order to see outsized gains, with the knowledge that if gold were to instead fall into a bear market we would be seeing a much larger loss on our investment than if holding the commodity itself.

It's quite incredible that over a 1 year timeframe POG is up 40% and THX is up just 8%. Compare that to another small cap producer like Serabi with low to no debt... that's up 145%.

There was a number of things quoted in articles, such as a committee report that would be completed within 7 days although that was early October.

Like you refer to I would stick to RNS' from now on, they have proved to be much more accurate than the news stories.

As well as the final 10 of 12 drill holes from Segilola, the updated mineral resource from Douta, the PFS, q3 financials in November and possibly a lithium update (unless that’s quietly ditched?).

Agreed but all evidence so far leads to a highly favourable outcome that may actually culminate with jurisdiction risk actually reducing due to having a sensible and professional Federal Government firmly onside.

I imagine some commentary from the committee will be the next rns though, with Segilola drill results released off the back of that momentum.

The payment in shares actually contradicts your discounted placing narrative, Thorn.

They are preserving cash so they can raise when it’s most appropriate, not at such lows.

It's also worth constantly reminding oneself that even without any mine life extension there's still ~$300m FCF to be generated from Segilola after this year so add that to the net cash position we will see by end of 2024 and the undervaluation is there for all to see just from current mine plan alone.

Douta is the asset that will drive the long term value here, further ounces found at Segilola are simply a bonus with the possibility of significant underground resources being found (5 years worth?) being the icing on the cake.

It’s all just taking longer than we expected but against such a fantastic backdrop and with Segilola already operating into 2027 at a minimum the timing doesn’t really matter.

What matters is that when those updates land they are positive and there’s still nothing to suggest there won’t be meaningful mine extension at Segilola or that total resource won’t be upgraded to 2m minimum at Douta.

Well if deep pocketed TSX seller is finally out then that’ll likely be the catalyst for a big move north.

I can’t see many others selling this at $135m mcap with gold smashing through all time highs.

Depending on spending plans by the end of 2025 they could have close to the entire market cap in cash (ending 2024 with $25m cash and another $100m+ next year).
