Worldwide, new cases of COVID-19 are way up! The highest they've been, for several days in a row! A lot of the countries are not wealthy and don't have the access to labs etc that we have. The LFD is desperately needed.

The need for the LFD has not gone away, if anything it has increased!

So many people who think:
1) Covid 19 is dissapearing and
2)The target market is just the UK

Some people need to try doing even some basic research before posting.

I don't blame anybody who's decided to sell out. Especially those who bought in higher.

I just can't bring myself to do it. I first bought in at 40p having done extesnsive research, I could take a nice profit right now and be totally happy with it.

The problem is, I strongly believe the RNS we're all waiting for will arrive and will deliver. At that point, it will be a nightmare trying to get back in. Even more so if it's a 7am RNS as usual, because it will just gap up on open and take off from there. IMO.

As I've said before though, the LFD aspect is a partnership with a USA based company. I think it's entirely possible news will be released simultaneously so I think a lunchtime/early afternoon RNS is just as likely as a 7am RNS.

I know the partnership with Cytiva was announced in a 7am RNS, however that wasn't big news for a monster of a company like them. However, a working LFD will be massive news for both companies so I can't see one releasing news without the other.

NCYT fell from 200 to 65, just before it's incredible rise to 500. I wonder how many people sold out on that one?

I'm nervous watching my profits being eroded, but sticking to the facts and not getting emotional about it (as much as possible).

Worldwide new case count has been way up for several days (100,000 plus). Yesterday was a new record at 136,000. The world needs this LFD 10 minute test more than ever.

We've received no bad news and expect signifcant positive news flow to begin at any moment.

I don't think the drop is just down to lack of news. It's also a change in sentiment as it feels like COVID-19 is fading away in the UK and everything is getting back to normal. I imagine most AVCT investors are based in the UK, at least for now anyway.

I would make the following points:

1) Globally it's a bigger problem than ever, as stated above.

2) We are still in a lockdown, many businesses aren't open. Air travel is high problematic.

3) Whats going to happen when summer ends and the normal cold and flu cycle returns? If we can't test quickly, anybody with a bug will be unable to go into work until they know whether it's covid or just a normal one.

Of course, we've got the BAMS test and therapy both in the pipeline too.

Peter. Your research is terrible. Globally new cases have just reached a new high.

Todays shenanigans will quickly be forgotten about when news drops.

Like many, I've had thousands of pounds knocked off my 'paper profits' over the past few days. I'm no mole catcher, so I'm not in that league but nevertheless it's horrible to watch.

Still at a healthy profit, and I would be lying if I said the thought of taking my money and running didn't cross my mind as I watched the SP drop. I'm very exposed due to having so much invested here vs my other holdings. And yes, I know it's a risky move.

It really helps to revisit the fundamentals and remember why you invested in the first place. As we all keep stating, nothing has changed. New cases of Covid-19 are reaching new highs globally and with limited testing in so many countries, it's probably even worse than we realise. The LFD development is with Cytiva and we just need to wait it out. In the meantime, there's other potential sources of news and IMO it's very likely we will get something very soon.

If we go through all of this week with no RNS, whether than be Adeptrix, therapy or LFD - I'll be amazed.

Greedo, I run a small business based around media and marketing. Whilst it's not my primary source of business, I have a reasonable amount of web-development ability and it's kept money coming in for me during lockdown.

I could build that website in a day, working at a relaxed pace. If I got my head down, probably 4-5 hours.

Considering the budget they've got, it's fairly poor!

Kamani, if you're reading this (we now know you read this board) - please do something about it!

I agree trader72. If Avacta could put out a tweet, blog post or another video - it would really help. It doesn't have to be 'news,' just something to re-assure the market they're working on it and nothing bad has happened.

It would also be good to see some work taking place on the Medusa-19 website as it currently looks like it was thrown together in a day.

I think we might find what we are curently experiencing is very similar to Novacyt a few weeks ago. Go and re-visit that chart.

They had a rise, a big retrace, then the MASSIVE rise.

Worldwide the new case count is still increasing rapidly.

It's currently out of Avacta's hands. We are now waiting on Cytiva, that's why it's gone quiet.

I agree that most AVCT investors are probably UK based. Sentiment is probably changing because it seems like it's over. The worldwide picture is completely different, though.

Also bear in mind that testing capacity is incredibly limited in some countries as per the NY Times article I posted a few days ago. The article said many deaths and grave diggers in Nigeria worlng flat out, but statistically the country only has about 300 new cases per day - because there's hardly any testing done.

There's no news, good nor bad. So we've retraced.

Yes indeed PL75. My strategy sounds the same as yours. For instance, MCS is one I'm bullish about, at least when the time is right. In March they had an available cash balance of 127m. Shares currently at 50% of pre crash value.

Please note: Not a cross ramp as I have absolutely no holding there at present.

I'm gradually researching stocks which should be good for catching the recovery, but I'm not buying anything yet. It's too soon I think.

This said, I geneuinly believe Avacta's test will be a turning point. So assuming all goes well, that's the time I'll start buying in readiness for the recovery.
