I use this calculation (copied from the HMRC website) for selling shares in the same company - works well for my little brain to understand:

Example

You buy 100 shares for 80p each. The total cost is £80.

You later buy 300 shares for £1.20 each. The total cost is £360.

In total, you have 400 shares costing £440 - the average cost of each share is £1.10.

If you sell 150 shares, the cost of the shares for your tax calculations is £165 (£1.10 multiplied by 150). Deduct this from what you sold the shares for to work out your gain.

A holder here since July 21, so not sure if i can call myself an lth. I have, what is for me, a sizeable sum invested (over 500000 shares), built up over the last 4 years at an average of about7.5p.

I rarely post, but am signed in on here permanently and read all the updated comments more or less as they happen.

I no longer do Twitter, and I've given up on ADVFN, but I am signed in to GGPChat.

Anyway, unfortunately due to domestic circumstances I'm unable to attend any physical meetings, so I'd be grateful if I could be added to any Whatsapp or other groups that have ongoing information about our progress.

Is there any other good source of info (apart from GGPs own website), that folk would suggest.

Not necessarily; if it is 0.20 Aus then that, at current rates of exchange, is about 10p sterling. So not far off.

My take, for what it's worth:

SD promised an MRE this quarter, and he wants to keep his word - quite important in my opinion, and gives me confidence in his integrity.

But Newmont haven't had time to review properly.

Newmont agreed for the MRE to be published, but with that disclaimer.

Everyone involved in the process is content with that.
