After ASX20 Apr 2025 10:59
Just thinking ahead to what post ASX listing looks like for us AIM shareholders, and trying to get a feel for what would be the best thing to do.
My choices seem to be:
A) Keep the shares on AIM on my current platform (Freetrade) and see how that goes
B) Open a trading platform that has access to the ASX (such as II), then sell on AIM and re-buy on the ASX.
C) A mixture of both
The main reason I'm thinking of B) is in case liquidity dries up on the AIM, as I, along with us all, am hoping for a lot of buying of the shares from the Aussie pension funds. Also I'm still a bit confused as to how the cross listing works in practice. For example, GGP has 100 shares on AIM (forget any consolidations or extra issues for the purpose of keeping this simple. Post cross listing, someone sells 50 Greatland Resources shares on AIM, is it as simple as someone buying via ASX can get hold of them?
Any thoughts out there?
Cheers
