Surely you mean a handbag fight BeeTee. Why are you so cruel to us girlies. You must be a misogynist! That's against CWU rules. I'm going to report you.
Agree carltt
Fleccy, ever heard the saying 'pot calling the kettle black' or 'people who live in glass houses...' Come on fleccy, I don't mind BT being your masters, nor does anyone else. Just come clean about it and I won't mention it again.
Thank you for those kind words Abject. The reason Carltt posts is because he's one of the CWU activists dead against the recent wage settlement. Carltt and their like come here to annoy us and attempt to show BT in a bad light. At the other end of the scale, we have my dear fleccy - an extreme and unpalatable BT ramper, who unendingly talks about reinvesting his divis and reckons 2030 as being the time that BT will rise like a phoenix from today's ashes. Considering fleccy's age (if he's to be believed, he's now over 60), my advice to him would be to start spending some of his dosh before he kicks the bucket.
We know that Poker. Don't need a lecture from you. Where do you stand? Left, right, or on the fence?
Mary, Mary, you are not contrary. You've summed it up far better than me. The terrible twins Beth Rigby and Kay Burley are the reasons I no longer watch Sky News. The media, and especially the BBC and Sky, are whipping us all into a frenzy again, exactly as they did with Covid. Wall to wall starvation, people freezing in their homes, children dying of a new virus (9 so far) and destitution. Far superior opinions on YouTube; Hoover Institute for one and German channel Die Welle for up-to-the-minute Ukraine news.
As you know fleccy, I have nothing against you personally. However, you keep defending the company, no matter what. Not over months, but over years. Whatever the negative, you have a positive. Even the Tata deal makes good sense to you. You're becoming a tad too predictable to be a normal, run-of-the-mill investor - more like BT equivalent of the CWU yobs. Admittedly, a lot of legacy products and systems were created in India so this is probably the best place to dig their grave. But don't forget that those same products and systems were plagued with bugs. And their complexity was mind-boggling, made worse by the extreme cultural differences between the two countries. I reckon the divi will go, people will use the internet less, the war in Ukraine will plough on, strikes will paralyse the country and there will be a near term election. If Labour get in, that will be only the start of our woes. Never mind, you'll keep reinvesting your divi, even if there isn't one! I've already made plans to exit this green and pleasant land.
My dealings with call centre staff in India have been less than productive. Let's hope that doesn't apply to the Tata partnership!
I'm bored with you, your inadequacies and bile Phat. Typical working class fella, with a huge chip on your shoulder. Go play with your union buddies, have some strong lager and a curry. Won't reply to any more of your messages, however tempting. Sayonara darling :)
Difference between us Phatz is that I have a sense of humour and can laugh at myself. You have no sense of humour and everyone laughs at you. Careful of the manholes. You might fall into one, if you haven't already. Shalom.
Funny you should say that, Bertie. That's exactly what I'm planning to do. And I'm well past retirement age. If Labour gets in next time round, their union paymasters will drench this country in 'workers' rights. Nothing has changed with Labour. Yes, to hear those union barons on Sky this morning made me sick to my stomach. I turned off the picture, because, to actually see them sitting there in all their pomposity, was even more sickening. I ask you, have you ever seen such a bunch! That such a proud and industrious country and its people should be saddled with these creatures is our own fault. We all have to pay for their greed stupidity, unfortunately.
Welcome to my world, lost soul. Family. Hard work. Pride. Decency. That's what life's about. And, of course, good health.
Yes, Fred, I've told fleccy about this many times before. He's quite right of course, but he does tend to go on. In this case I forgive him, because he was being taunted by a CWU bully. I've reported it as a hate crime to CUW head office and hopefully the bully in question, PatheticKat, will be sanctioned by his union. Shouldn't take long, because he probably works there. Nasty bit of work that one. Are you with the union Fred?
Well said fleccy. But don't feed the wild dogs. They'll only come back and bite you :)
PhatKat. Your character assassination of fleccy was totally unnecessary and totally untrue. I've had a go at him on many occasions about his posts and his loyalties. I've had a go at you and your union buddies about the way you look, your drinking and eating habits, your bully boy tactics, your grasp of the English language and the fact that the colour of your hi viz strike vests is unsuitable. But what you said to fleccy was unacceptable. A WOKE in Islington would call it a hate crime. But it's normal banter for you, obviously. No doubt fleccy can take it. However, I would urge your in future to be more careful with that nastiness. Consider people's feelings and their mental health. Words like that could push weaker souls over the edge. However, you wouldn't care, would you! Might I suggest that, the next time you feel the need to defecate, you squeeze your head. This will hopefully remove the source of your prejudices and hatred of other human beings. Shalom
Yes Smash, good post. Always said that management should work more closely with the unions. The CWU stands up for its members and never backs down; something we can all admire. Such good and sensible leaders.
Sounds like a good deal BeeTee. How much is union membership, compared to getting the FT. If I can save money, I don't mind burying my principles :)
ROFL
Pointless giving people a link they can't connect to because they don't subscribe to the FT online!
Is that Iron Hoof? Shame about the CWU strike. Seems to have lost momentum. Was't Momentum the name of a now defunct Labour Party affiliated organisation. Good luck Iron.
