The 2D wasn't that accurate, it's a known problem with the geology of the area, this is why I was calling for 3D Seismic after NT-1 and NT-2, way before 3D became a plan for the project.

For me, and AEX/ARA, the 2D isn't reliable enough and that's the whole reason they are doing 3D now.

The 2D shows maybe a couple of cross section strike lines through the target(s), but 3D gives a picture of the entire target(s), their size and shape. Because it shows the shape, it could be that drilling from a different location is preferable, which is why the RNS said that the 3D was to confirm location. If they could drill from the current pad using the 2D there would be no need to confirm the location of CH-1.

I have said already that no new pad has been built, as the spud was scheduled to still go ahead in November albeit hampered by rig availability, but that does not make the 2D reliable.

Now we have few months wait, and ARA have all of the 3D to process, they 'could' easily move the location of CH-1 if they either think it will make drilling simpler (no zig-zag directional drilling), or if it would allow them to intersect more targets with the one drill (hitting some from CH-1b as well as the one's from CH-1a). It won't make any difference to the new spud date if they choose to do that, as they have plenty of time to do it now that the spud date has been pushed back.

Looking into the latest AFC rabbit hole, I found this:

Grant EP/T009233/1 is the grant awarded to John R Varcoe at Surrey University for several years work on AFC's Anion Exchange Membrane.

As this publication is from February 2022, and research like this is only published in full (rather than abstract) many months after the research was completed and Patents applied for, it will already be in the batches of Alkamem, so when they say "the lifetime of 3g is the longest reported in the literature up to date under dry alkaline conditions" investors should take note. Also, follow the link and look at the diagrams showing degradation rate, be amazed!!

mid-August - Acciona Power Tower deployment

I take it that Acciona feedback was needed before delivery to their site, and again before sending any more out to other clients. So the fact two more have gone out with at least one having different forklift positioning, I also take it that all of the Acciona feedback went into the next two units before delivery, so in theory nothing much for these two clients to highlight.

Not buying or selling though, just getting online quotes and leaving them to expire.

Typo, it was 22.345p not 22.354p.

I was doing test trades at the time, been doing them on and off every couple of hours to gauge demand.

Buy price was 22.354p when that 87k went through (showing as a sell but is a buy at that price and time), and 22.32p when the more recent smaller trades went through, so they are buys too.

MM shenanigans with the advertised prices. Nothing unusual there!

I wonder if they will be in a 'panel discussion' with MSC and Maersk? Hopefully Maersk won't talk negative about MSAR, seeing as they chose the LSFO route.

Making the most of name dropping because Maersk are at the same conference, so will see QFI presenting BioMSAR/MSAR there with MSC. Nice!

Yes, absolutely, me too.

The units are out for validation, not development testing. Validation that they do what it says on the tin.

Obviously, as with ANY product undergoing validation testing in the hands of users (think about pre-prod iPhones for example), anything that the users raise as potential for issues or improvement (maybe a different type of handle on the Power Tower cabinet for example) would be fed back to AFC.

AFC would then have a list (possibly with nothing on it!) that it can prioritise based on 'must have', 'could have', 'future option' and 'no real benefit'. It can then look at the cost and development time to put higher priority options into the production Power Towers. It might choose to do none of them, or it might do what appears to be a change fed back from Acciona and put the forklift slots on the side instead of the front.

The user is not going to tell AFC to redesign the stack or electronics, obviously, all they are looking at is safety, ease of operating, and design of the cabinet and controls.

I also see those testing the Power Towers working with the hire companies they use, such that when the testing is completed then deals can be done where the hire companies buy the Power Tower and immediately supply them to the client's sites.
