Those numbers are just for the public. ABB are also aiming at fleets like Taxi's, delivery vans, trucks, busses, etc, where in a larger percentage of cases the local grid cannot support the power required unless millions are spent on a new Substation and under road cabling to support it, plus really long delays to get that infrastructure in place (1 year is quite common right now).

ABB is also not just looking at the UK, it supplies a large number of the biggest EV Charger operators globally, who in turn supply fleets in their own countries. Many fleets are so big that they would need multiple systems to enable them to switch to EV's (which is what they are trying to do).

There has to be a visible need for many thousands of systems globally, or AFC+ABB would not be bothering.

The way I think the deal formula works is that as stated on this thread it is 'on a life of mine basis'.

Therefore they have a forecast of prices across the life of the mine, and the price paid is the average price over the life of the mine, based on their forecasts.

Is there a price forecast chart in one of the presentations?

My feeling is that they see right now as a price spike due to shortages, but when theirs and others mines come online the price will drop back, leading to an average price over the life of the mine that's well below the current price, but still meaningfully above $900.

Finding a farm in partner should be easy as pie, it's getting the right deal where EOG is left with a worthwhile percentage that's the tricky bit. Thus they should be in discussions with several companies already, just trying to nail down a deal they are happy to accept.

Roadworks in most places are 6 months to a year plus backlog. Partly due to COVID lockdowns, partly due to lack of funding, partly due to ineptitude.

When Tanzania needs the gas that clearly exists at Ntorya, it builds a pipeline. It does not have anything to delay that, impacted landowners will be paid recompense for lost land and crops, and moved home if theirs is directly in the way, it's compulsory land purchase (read what Ufufuo posted recently), which means nothing is going to hold up the pipeline.

I think we all know the answer to that question with 99.999% certainty.

AIM has far more mining companies than the FTSE-100, 86 vs 7.

The FTSE-100 is hardly irrelevant when only 7% of its constituents are mining companies.

That is where there's a market split between short term traders and real investors. Short term traders don't invest in anything, they gamble on price movements based on the chart or news on the day, then spend all their time telling everyone how they are a mystic and know the future of the share price.

For me, charts are helpful with long term trend signals, but they cannot replace a comprehensive knowledge of the company, it's markets, it's partners, it's clients, it's competitors, and the risks.

There's no such thing as too much knowledge when it comes to investing in something, but far too many have little or no knowledge because they can't be bothered to learn, and think there is a shortcut to being rich called short term trading, despite decades of research showing that long term investing batters it every time.

It doesn't matter what the emphasis of the FTSE-100 is, the point that snork is missing (or just trying to talk down!) is that the big money has to go somewhere, and the FTSE-100 is at a record high, where the big money then wonders how much higher it can go, so then looks around for other options such as the stocks in the FTSE-250, 350, Small Cap and AIM.

Feel free to come back in a few months and tell me I was wrong if that transpires. Claiming I'm wrong before it's happened wins no prizes.
