It would make sense for National Grid to install AFC EV Chargers at the 50 locations as a bridging technology, as it's going to take a very long time to get the 50 sites cabled and the chargers installed.

We know that the Motorway Services have been screaming about the need for the chargers, and the horrendous cost and timelines they have been quoted. Putting in AFC EV Chargers means that all sites could have them in place by the ned of next year, rather than in 5 or more years.

AFC EV Chargers will also be way cheaper, so in some cases could be left as the permanent solution.

"According to it’s own figures, 52 percent of drivers worry about driving any distance in an EV and it’s solution is to make that concern go away with a network of 50 ultra-fast chargers at motorway services. Sites have already been earmarked (from 54 originally identified) and an ultra-fast charger would enable a suitably specified EV to recharge in five to 12 minutes. The idea is more than just a theory, and consultations have been going on with motorway services operators to assess what’s need and how the chargers will connect to the network at each one. The cost of a 50 charger network is estimated at between £500 million and £1 billion."

RA had around 40 million shares and started selling in May 2019, having moved to Israel and being granted citizenship there in 2018. Part of moving to Israel is switching all your investments there. AFC recently said he hadn't sold any more stock and thanked him for support, but it's obvious to me he'd take the money if another HNW or a Fund Manager offered him the cash to take the lot.

Selling those shares has kept a lid on AFC for 18 months. There is clearly huge pent up demand for AFC, which is now being fulfilled, and thus the coiled spring is released.

I'd vote for that. Saying combustion vehicles will be banned in 2030 is all well and good, and there are loads of middle/high earners that can easily buy an EV (and save money over the life of it vs a combustion vehicle), but lower earners cannot. Exempting these vehicle from VAT allows the lower earners to take part in the mass move to EV's in the UK.

Crazy idea when AFC raised £30m to progress to mass production and commercial sales. It was never going to waste £5m on keeping fickle shareholders happy, when RA would be out in his own time anyway.

It's PEM, so will be far more expensive than an AFC, and no replaceable electrodes which increases long term costs. We could sell them some Alkamem though!

Why? It's a BREAKOUT above a psychological barrier, which means it carries on UP.

Also, you forget very quickly that RA has sold out, and the price had been suppressed for over a year because of him. The MM's are walking it back up to where it should be, and no dreaming about lower prices is going to change that.

12 years and 8 months for me. I like to think ahead, but didn't think it would take this long! At least we are finally going commercial next year, big time I expect, as you don't put in capacity for hundreds of systems if you only have a pipeline of sales leads for a handful of systems. Could turn out to be one of the best performing stocks of 2021.

AFC need to double just to get close to PPS, and 7x to 10x to catch up with the other two. Outsourced manufacturing in place, assembly factory unit in place, buyers queuing patiently for the 160kW system which will be completed this year, sales boom next year. So AFC are ready to attack those multiples.

Well it's not AFC that's for sure. "high-growth" it isn't, until it gets on with converting the sales leads to confirmed sales.

AFC buying out RA is the stuff of fantasy. Far more likely is that they had a someone (HNW, Fund Manager, etc) that wanted a big chunk, and AFC pushed them in the direction of RA.

Yes it does say electrodes, but in this capacity(!) it could just mean for the initial orders such as for ACCIONA, as no mass manufacturing agreement has been announced yet. It's obvious to everyone here that De Nora will be the manufacturer, but a mass manufacturing contract still needs to be signed at some point, and then the contracts for major parts sourcing looks to be complete.

I wonder if AFC and De Nora will now announce something about mass manufacturing electrodes, or if the 160kW will magically appear in the next 2 weeks!

CWR and ITM are both up to new one year highs today. This is the market getting more bullish on Hydrogen stocks. AFC will rocket once the market has confidence from sales of systems. The 160kW system appears to be a trigger for many sales, and it will be revealed soon!!
