Samyoung built Hanwha Energy's 50MW Fuel Cell power plant which opened last year.

They were E&P Contractor (not owner).

This means they now have the experience to build FC Power Plants. Here's hoping they want to revisit the AFC Project and build some of their own.

Now, before all the LTH's go off on one, we know this deal didn't produce any sales at the time, BUT, AFC will still have contact with Samyoung and Changshin BoD's, and AFC now have products that they can use.

So perhaps like a Phoenix from the flames, this deal could be resurrected soon, especially after Samyoung and Changshin have seen the PLUG Power news all over their national press and TV!!

As AFC are supposedly offering a complete solution, the minimum I'd expect AFC to give the client is a list of Ammonia Crackers to choose from, which AFC have already researched (maybe not tested though) and know the output Hydrogen will be suitable for the FC, and can be matched to the client's choice of FC output (kW's). Also I'd expect AFC to provide supplier details and prices for Ammonia, Green Ammonia, low grade Hydrogen, Blue Hydrogen and Green Hydrogen. Due to the cost of Green Hydrogen I see many opting for cheaper Blue Hydrogen.

GarryParry, none of them offer a really cheap fuel cell that runs on really cheap fuel (Ammonia or 2-3 9's Hydrogen).

You should realise from their massive losses that their products are really expensive, they have to sell them at such a small profit otherwise they wouldn't have any takers.

AFC can beat them on CAPEX and OPEX. So AFC should take it's fair share of the markets that it is targeting, which in many cases is not what the other FC companies are targeting.

Look at what the other FC companies and you'll see FC fork lifts, combined heat and power, FC busses, and many other things that AFC are not targeting. We are targeting where we believe we can make a lot of money, Off-Grid EV Chargers and replacing Diesel Gensets.

If AFC build the Electrolyser they have a Patent Application for, then yes. Right now no, because AFC make Fuel Cells and ITM make Electrolysers.

As with Siemens, JCB can't do power from Ammonia, as it would be way too expensive to filter the Hydrogen down to 5 x 9's for the Ballard FC. They cant use cheaper 2 or 3 9's Hydrogen like AFC can either. So AFC offers a big OPEX advantage.

As the y say, horses for courses. Ballard are good for some things, AFC good for others. So there's no reason why JCB would not also use AFC FC's.

They are not saying that right now. Currently the system charges EV's and PHEV's.

There will be Hydrogen or Ammonia on site, so the next logical step would be to add a Hydrogen Fuelling pump on the same site, utilising the same store of fuel.

Not if it was part of the Geopura range? The Ammonia version?

Geopura must use 5 x 9's Hydrogen, it's going to be expensive with that and PEM.

AFC can offer them a cheaper FC that runs on cheaper Ammonia.

Siemens are not selling they are leasing/renting, and it's a price per charging bay. If they can lower costs by using AFC's with Ammonia, they can make more money or lower prices to attract more clients, or both.

Siemens make EV Chargers. That would mean an agreement the same as ABB, where AFC provide FC's, Siemens provide EV Chargers, and either they or someone else provides battery storage.
