RE: Yellow/MP14 Jan 2021 16:12
I am 100% certain that some are paid by the big money people to post as much negative drivel on specific boards as they can, Some reasons why this happens:
A company may be looking to raise funds, so the big money investors want the price trashed so they can get as much of the company as they can, at the lowest price. Note that it is deemed 'normal' for a stock to drop like a sack of kak before it announces a fund raising, this is because the big money people already KNOW there is a fund raising being worked, and pay their trolls to bash the stock. They also let short sellers know, so they can short the stock and make money pushing the price down.
The other reason is that ii's are loading up, and the MM's have already agreed prices for the big blocks they need to get for the ii's. In this case the MM's want the trolls to keep the negative spin going, but don't trash the price, just stop the price from going up while the orders are filled.
After that we come to day traders and Del Boy investors that one day are saying how good the company in, voting up everyone's posts, thanking everyone for their research. Then they sell and possibly shot the stock as well, to try and make money both ways, up and down. Instantly you will notice a change in their posts, no more bullish posts, questioning everything about the company and it's products, talking down any positive opinion or research. This is to try and turn the board negative, in the hope it puts off investors. They chip away at the positivity until eventually they can buy back in at a lower price, and if they have a short position close that at a profit too. I believe the two you refer to fall into this category. Not insane like some people say, not pennyless mummy's boys, not stupid. They are doing calculated trading decisions and hoping they can bull***t their way to a profit, either in some cash, or in obtaining more share of the company at no extra cost to themselves.
