duke_arlington,
Great research, thanks!
I was thinking the other day, that the ABB agreement is the quickest option for AFC to penetrate the market with companies like BP, Shell, Total, Ionity, Electrify America, etc, that want to deal with a huge company with a lot of EV charger experience like ABB, for the complete EV Charging solution.
There is certainly a lot of scope with garage forecourts, as they will want to offer people the fastest charging available, so that drivers see little difference between charging a car and filling with petrol/diesel. With garage forecourts it's all about high turnover of customers. At the same time, garage forecourts will be developed to offer a lot more for visitors to buy whilst the car charges. The Gridserve Braintree forecourt is the perfect example of what garage forecourts will become. The big fuel companies have seen it, and they know it.
