They will need big chargers to fill these up, and either big grid connections or big off-grid EV Chargers.

It's obvious from the chart that it's being traded up and down constantly by short term traders, with the "I'll take a risk and sell some to try and buy back cheaper" long termers. It's also possible they will trade it back up tomorrow if the trend so far is anything to go by.

A few pence up or down means f'all, the price later in the year after sales are coming in is what matters, anything else is just noise, of which I can see loads on this board and now the advfn board, including obvious deramping comments from traders and the "I'll take a risk and sell some to try and buy back cheaper" long termers.

Probably not: "likely to be in towns, with denser populations and less off-street parking." so probably grid will be OK.

And: "It will then set up a competition to incentivise investors to bid at the lowest cost to deliver the charge points", we won't win because a grid connected charger will be cheaper than an off-grid fuel cell charger, so if they have grid availability no point us getting involved.

Talk of a buyout is total tripe, the price makes zero difference to the risk level, which is currently too high for a buyout. AFC needs sales and to prove it's products over the next year or two, before any company would consider it safe enough to spend several hundred million pounds on.

Fuelcellinvestor, I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as you imply, we've moved a few PENCE in the last two weeks, UP and DOWN. The price is still inside the Flag, this movement is expected.

This is not relentless selling, considering we did 30m traded on the ABB deal, and there's only 800k more sold than bought, 800k is nothing really, certainly not worthy of the word 'relentless'. It's called a market and the MM's are making it one.

1) How do you know it's not short seller traders pushing it down so they can get back in at lower prices?

2) How do you know it's not the MM's moving it down to claw some stock back after filling the big orders we saw going through since the ABB deal?

Interesting that Siemens did own part of Ubitricity. I wonder if there was a clause in the sale where Shell have to buy chargers from Siemens, be nice if they can also buy ABB kit, especially for off-grid!

BB2, they are not going to RNS the testing of every commercial system that goes out the door. Testing during R&D was newsworthy, once the systems became commercial there is no need to RNS that they have been tested prior to delivery. CWR, ITM etc do not RNS pre-delivery testing of commercial systems either.

I wonder if in the future Ricardo will take over assembly of AFC systems, or do it when it comes to international expansion of assembly. Also, nice to get a mention in their trading update today, showing they consider the AFC agreement as significant.

EV charging network EVgo to go public via US$2.6 billion SPAC deal

REUTERS: EVgo Services LLC said on Friday it has agreed to go public through a merger with blank-check firm Climate Change Crisis Real Impact I Acquisition Corp, in a deal that values the electric vehicle charging station provider at US$2.6 billion.

The deal is expected to provide EVgo with about US$575 million in net cash proceeds, including US$400 million from investors such as Pacific Investment Management Co LLC (PIMCO), BlackRock Inc and Wellington Management, among others.

Founded in 2010, EVgo was acquired by power and energy infrastructure firm LS Power in December 2019 and currently has more than 800 fast-charging locations across 34 U.S. states, catering to over 220,000 customers.

The company has partnerships with carmakers including General Motors Co, Nissan Motor Co, BMW AG and ride-hailing firms like Uber Technologies Inc.

EVgo will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange after the merger and will trade under the ticker symbol "EVGO".
