Cheekboy2, not a chance.
Any JV would be just that, it wouldn't involve any company buying into AFC, and if any wanted to for a strategic partnership it definitely wouldn't be at a price lower than the market price, quite possibly it would be higher, as AFC has the technology that the other party wants, and AFC does not need the money under it's current plans, having raised £31m last July to complete those plans.
The drop is simply that shorters (probably those huge Hedge Funds) could see all of the UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cell stocks had been multi-baggers, on very little news. They know now that USA is out of bounds for them, as they could lose billions there ($70Bn lost on the GameStop shorting! I take it that people wanted to Stop their Games), so the next market for them is the UK. Hence all of the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell stocks got battered the day after the huge Hedge Fund USA losses.
AFC news reversed it's losses, others didn't fare quite so well but have big support, so recovered a bit.
Who knows if they are still around, their bets would have been closed pretty quickly after they forced the drop. Only troll day traders like yellowf1 would be stupid enough to stay short, with the number of things happening at AFC, and the number of enquiries hitting AFC (growing EXPONENTIALLY says Adam Bond!).
"Back at Dunsfold, our attention continues on our next system builds with Acciona and Julich and the ongoing development of our “S” Series fuel cell and Alkamem. Stay tuned for further updates."
We are awaiting an update on Alkamem and the 'S' series Fuel Cell. These are not dependent on any clients or their schedules, neither are they dependent on stock market regulations, in effect AFC could announce either of them any day they choose, at any time of the day they choose.
Likewise, work with Ricardo or ABB could be the subject of an ad-hoc RNS or PR News release.
Having just attended the Hydrogen Council meeting and updated the members on AFC's progress with Extreme E, ABB and Ricardo, and done a load of networking, new strategic partnerships could be signed any day now.
So far from being concerned about the move from 75p to 60p I am very very bullish about AFC and the near term prospects for the share price. there are always ups and downs, that is the nature of the stock market, you just have to learn to ignore the ups and downs, and stay focussed on the BIG prize further down the line.
