Segedunum,
What you fail to appreciate is that many of these people work together, selling at the same time and buying at the same time, to make the biggest impact on the share price that they can, and thus maximise their gains as a collective.
As BB2 says, there have been big movements in the AFC SP over the years, and every time it's the same people posting the same c r a p before, during and after the movements, with masses of either positive or negative comments until their trade has paid off and they switch the other way.
I am sure that at least a couple of those on here work for institutions or are being passed information from someone that is, and they therefore know when there is a big buy order, sell order, placing, etc being worked. It's clear market abuse and very hard to prove, but it certainly is very consistent.
You only need look at what happened to Gamestop to see what stock traders can do if they club together. With secret chatrooms available on various platforms, including WhatsApp etc, it's easy for these people to gang up on a stock where they can influence the price up and down with their mass sells and buys, along with mass sentiment swings of discussion boards.
