That's been looked at by AFC a long time ago. I actually suggested to them back in the days of the SuperGreen Power Station (2010), that they put one of those on the industrial park to power all of the industrial units and offices on the park. I even found the nearest Gas connection for it, which went past the main gate. It was noted.

AFC are not involved in the ABB project. As for something like Air One, AFC are only a supplier, so they would need approval from Urban-Air Port to go there and take photo's, wich UAP may not want as they line up their own professional media companies to do the coverage. AFC will get to use the UAP professional media once the AFC system is installed and the event goes live, just as they do the same with Extreme E. As for other projects, until we deliver a system, there is nothing for us to photograph, and any publishing of photographs has to be agreed by the client or partner first.

I would like to see photo's of systems being built, but this then allows competitors to see what AFC are doing in their factory, it would possibly reveal IP that AFC want to keep secret. No other FC/H2 companies do this, for the same reason.

You can say the same about Solar Panels, Battery Storage, WInd Turbines, and anything else that is designed to cut emissions.

If you want to change that, set up a company to manufacture in the UK, although you'll still need to import the vast majority of raw materials, you could offset the emissions from that with money to genuinely carbon cutting initiatives.

I find it interesting that VW say that their ID.3 is Carbon neutral on delivery, as it's manufactured using renewable energy and then they offset what can't be removed. AFC could go the same way, but I don't see that happening for a few years, as we need to get sales up to a decent level before we can increase the cost of manufacturing by using green energy and then offsetting.

I think he liked it because:

1) It's a major partner of AFC, so show support
2) It's Green Hydrogen, which is useful to AFC clients
3) The more Green Hydrogen produced, the lower the prices

I can't see anywhere in that project for AFC other than AFC clients sourcing Green Hydrogen from it.

Importing equals manufacturing equals deployments of systems. Some of this is obviously balance of plant for FC systems.

What I've been wondering is which system Air One will get:

L Series running on Hydrogen
L Series running on Ammonia (results say the cracker is being integrated ahead of deployment)
HFC running on Hydrogen (as an HFC launch demo, making the most of the high profile PR of the event)

The RNS on the agreement just said "As part of "Air-One", AFC Energy will be providing a fully operational hydrogen fuel cell system, on a lease basis for three weeks, enabling clean power generation and charging onsite.", but no mention of which type, although this was prior to the announcement of the HFC, but under the NDA between them AFC could have shown them the HFC and said it would be available in time. HFC has also been announced as available on lease, which is how the Air One system will be procured.

FCEL are still losing money, they still have a huge backlog of orders. What's the use in selling over a billion dollars worth of products if you can't manufacture them fast enough, let alone fast enough to make a profit?? AFC have the capacity to manufacture over 200MW of S Series or HFC in it's existing facility (and IMVHO will turn a profit well below that), yet FCEL have been selling for way longer and simply have not built up the manufacturing capacity that they need in order to reduce the backlog and become profitable.

If you needed a new CEO of the right calibre, knowledge of AFC's type of products and markets, and had plenty of connections, probably worked in the FC/H2 sector for at least a decade and been successful at it, you'd have to be paying the same kind of money.

The other AFC peers were in the same boat and some are still in the same boat, albeit a little further down river, with their huge losses they are just as risky.

The other point is that if AB left because he could get as much money or more elsewhere, AFC would still have to pay just as much money to an incoming CEO to replace him.

I suspect that with the USA wanting to get energy security even more now, that Greenfield will have no problem raising any funds to get the production up and running.

As investors, the question should not be "Is AB paid too much".

The questions should be "If AB get's the company to a £1.5Bn Market Cap in the next year or two, then was it worth paying him £863k"

This is the way ii's, HNW and UHNW would look at it, and I don't see any of those complaining.
