Sell in May
Share prices tend to fall over the summer months as fund managers and big institutional traders go on holiday.

They often sell some of their shares and other assets before they go away. This is so that their investments are at less risk of taking a big hit if markets fall suddenly while they are not at their trading screens to respond quickly.

This has led to one of the most famous stock market sayings: "Sell in May and go away – don't come back till St Leger Day." It calls on investors to sell their shares in May and buy them back in September.

St Leger Day refers to the date in early September when a famous horse race is run in Britain.

Because trading volumes and liquidity are lower over the summer, it is easier for one big trade to push prices around. Therefore share prices can be more volatile over this time and trading can be higher risk.

The losers on here are losing the battle. The price is rising strongly. Don't they realise they can't keep a good stock down forever!

That is surely why they chose to get interim Seismic results over the CH-1 well before the end of August, so they have the time to build a new well pad and still get the spud done in November, IF required. That is just simple risk management by ARA.

We know from the way the 3D Seismic has been done (loads of locals recruited to clear tracks, a lot of nodes and trucks, etc) that ARA are on the ball, so a new well pad should not cause any delays with them running the show. They probably have a team waiting on standby in case they need to do it.

Many still look at the Ruvuma project and think it's AEX running it LOL! ARA are running it and doing an outstanding job of it so far.

Many say they'll never put money into AEX based on the AEX history, but investing in AEX is actually investing in ARA, a completely different ball game.

BioMSAR has not been tested on a vessel yet, and that is the big one for MSC, so the full LONO is needed as they have no data on it from any previous trials, only the tests on static engine(s).

They need to do the full test to erase all the risks the project has listed. Then the fuels will be approved by the engine manufacturer and will be permitted for use on marine vessels using that engine under the insurance policies.

Yeah, those plus spud and drilling progress, and the Kiliwani 3D, plenty of news flow for a change.

I think it's pretty much guaranteed that we will get the interim 3D results in August and the full results in Sept/Oct.

This is because we have been told "APT has recently received the first batch of field seismic data and expects to have processed and interpreted sufficient data to confirm the final drilling location of the Chikumbi-1 ("CH-1") well before the end of August."

And when I checked the Satellite view last week I can still see the tracks being cleared, so they are not done with preparing the complete survey area, let alone acquired all of the data yet.

Expanding Gas Grid = More Gas Demand!

I see a nice run of TPDC Tender invites for such things as Gas Pipelines (expanding the Gas Grid, for example 'natural gas distribution project trunkline'), and a load of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Stations (Mother, Daughter), and a Tender to supply CNG refuelling for the DART Buses, and more.

Sort by date to get the new one's at the top. Look at the one's with title 'Addendum Notice'.

I also saw a Tender for Kinyerezi expansion 185MW, and some 2D Seismic over a few areas (prior to new licensing rounds I guess).

No point in trying, as you'll never get through to 'them' on the other side, they don't hear you!

Look at what the new President has done since she took up office. In a very short time she has completely turned around the oil and gas industry from the corrupt bureaucracy she inherited, getting us back on track, the LNG plant back on track, and much much more. If she wants gas fast tracked she will get fast tracked!!

As for share price, take a guess, everyone else will, as nobody has a working crystal ball.

Not 'end of 2024' as many keep posting, it can be any time before that.

If CH-1 is a gusher I'd expect the Tanz Government to fast track it to production.

For sure!

Our fuels are better in many ways, all proven in trials, not just numbers plucked from the air to fill up a sales brochure.
