I guess u are the loon.......check out Ofgem and Ofcom then read up about socialism. BT wasted money on football rights instead of fibre because Ofcom. Sky and Vod would have invested in digging the road like virgin if the rewards were great.

500m share buybacks at these low levels would make sense and boost EPS by 10%. 1 billion share buybacks would increase EPS by 20%.
Dividend not needed for now since tech bubble hasn’t popped yet.

I would not recommend any divi to be paid until price cap is scrapped or favourable. Invest in customer retention and quality of service / products. Divi chasers always lose anyway so we don’t need to attract divi chasers that dump shares after a cut.

Massive pension deficit needs plugging too so Ofcom needs to back the F up! How does national grid get away from the socialist regulators? Me thinks, OpenReach stake should be sold to national grid since they do quite a good job in highly regulated market.

Openreach must be able to make reasonable profit from its investments and be able to service high legacy debt and pension deficit. BT should counter sue the bloodsucking leeches who are free riding on openreach.

A growing company with debt reduction plan and strong customer sentiment is better than a divi paying company in decline.
I am sure the new CEO won’t pay divi while things look dire...........hate it when dumb people buy companies that are literally liquidating themselves by paying divi instead of growing the business.

Why not, Vod is real and offers an essential service but we are gonna need a clone of Elon musk to lie to people about secure phone calls that bounces off satellites in the moon. Untraceable calls for all the dodgy bitcoin heads......haha!

my take is unless you have a crest account you don’t really own the shares. We need digital shares along with digital wallets to keep them in. Digital shares (structured like bitcoin) could rally hard as it will gain attention from younger investors.

It’s true that the direct energy money will be used to plug pension deficit and reduce debt. Spirit stake sale could further reduce debt and improve credit rating if customer focused business can grow.

Nice cash ........21p divi is respectable and we don’t need it to grow! Pay down debt and invest in digitalisation and customer growth retention initiatives.

After RSA offer, this dog should be at least over 400p!

You sound solid so just keep buying every week / month like the institutions do. Vod has a great brand but the market rewards “tech” companies only............did ask NR to start a “VodaPay” fintech Unit in order to get the SP to £10 :-)

It’s just something I have been observing in the U.K market only. Once a share looks undervalued, it stays the same for long or goes down further before a bounce back. Vampires are hedgefunds shorting.......only to get shares off retail investors.

These are “pain trades” whereby even the smartest retail investors get so frustrated that they end up getting out at breakeven.

We are still below post direct energy sales announcement, add vaccine news and soft lockdown whereby many businesses are open, work from home must be using more energy too.........surely this dog should be above 60p relative to other shares that are trading on just hope.
