An offer is needed ASAP, GD showed weakness yesterday. I hope to receive a response from investor relations today. GD should resign as he failed to deliver growth he promised as an alternative to accepting 65p offer.

I just requested for GD's resignation........yes he looked very nervous and feisty like he was under some FCA investigation. The only problem was the dumb folks in the room didn't ask the real question......why haven't you resigned since you can't even cook up a 2% growth in sales or deliver SP close 65p? Also do you work for PFD or Nissin, who is screwing? Who is receiving?

Why was GD not fired? Why didn't anybody raise the question about McCormick's offer? Why didn't anyone remind GD that cost cutting is not a new plan. It is everyday plan for a big company with huge debt and high interest and we are not fools to believe the BS about shipping frozen cakes from U.K all the way to Australia........how d F would that make big profit? This guy called GD is an insult to the IOD.

Always buy when they say SELL, take profit when they say buy at the top......remember NEXT?

Wow, what a phone presentation and dumb people asking questions. Darby looked nervous and uneasy throughout. PFD needs a real CEO who isn't afraid to resign after failing to keep easy promises.

I need to check the details but why didn't he mention the interest rate on it? If it's more than 4% then he shouldn't be allowed to borrow. Just look at how finance costs wipes out all the profit PFD makes. PFD is literally working for the banks not us shareholders as we are just good enough to rip-off. Why aren't shares secured on the company's asset on the first sale of shares? Haha, a change will come soon...........stock market is one big Ponzi that needs simple logical changes as there are too many pretenders acting like CEOs.

Isengard7, my opinion is that Cityfibre is a takeover target for consolidation purposes as long as CITY delivers its network on budget. We don't need earnings from city fibre.......recession might come but damn we all need broadband in this information age. Data is getting bigger so the network needs to get bigger! The management team are not the best but just look at BT.

why even look at debenhams? They don't control their own destiny like PFD can only if they get a smart CEO in. PFD makes essential food ingredients, some quick food, some cakes......things you can't do without while debenhams is just retailing same crap everybody does online and in expensive store. PFD only needs to cut cost (executive pay, automate manufacturing more), discourage supermarket own brands by doing deals with supermarkets.

DX management is hopeless.......the original deal could have been a straightforward takeover offer for DX. by Menzies. After their delusional synergies and savings, they can spin off the whole damn distribution unit via IPO.

SP is moving up slowly so fingers crossed till we get some news about another offer or resignation.

Hey Sandytroll, You just like my posts so much, they are doing ok with the cakes, sweet treats and frozen bakery goods as far as I know.......I was suggesting that Finsbury foods can takeover the sweet treats section. They produce lovely cakes, breads for Cafés and restaurants.
