Investing for sure is an individual thing and my position as risk adverse remains the same.. My highest cash ISA is still paying 5.62% and all hail the cash ISA.

In Lloyds statement " Total liabilities of £319,559 million increased £6,852 million compared to £312,707 million at 31 December 2024. This was driven by an increase in customer deposits of £2,580 million in the period, driven by a strong performance throughout the ISA season"..

One thing I haven't seen is if Lloyds intend to do a buyback. If not is this a war chest incase the result is not favourable re car finance.

Investing in equities I carefully consider and have been realising gains much earlier. some speculative stocks have become multi baggers and some still waiting for their big moment!!. I underpin those with a group of high yielding Blue chips. Mention no names...But given the upward moment in stocks have performed well.

I don't need to take risks my pay is good and my bonuses can be very generous ...

The world remains in a state of flux. Japan / USA deal looks like a stinker.. Europe is taking a more retaliatory approach to the USA and there is no doubt in my mind the sun is starting to set on the USA empire. For 15 years the USA has tried to demonise and hold back the Chinese which has quite clearly failed.

What happens next only time will tell. As for the Uk it is eating itself alive. Almost zero growth in all areas apart from Govt spending... I hope Mrs Reeves has the INF on speed dial...

For sure the Govt is well aware of a election down the road hence Mr Starmer to allow 16 yr olds the vote.. To be honest is a very clever move this.

Youngsters far more likely to vote Labour and what better group to be buying their vote than those who are starting off in life and own very little.

I can see a huge redistribution of wealth going to kick off. Staring slowly with means testing numerous current freebies for pensioners.
