Sadly Mankind has a propensity for self destruction. Should we have make toxins and viruses that can kill millions?. Should we have built weapons of war than can kill on an industrial scale?..

Now we have a new kid on the block. Our world has become reliant on cables and programmes which by and large we can control and protect although as we know bad actors can cause huge problems.

The answer is whether we like it or not it is now going to embed itself in our lives. We will allow it full access to all manner of things we rely on, From banking to shopping, transporation and even our military security. Autonomous machines.. Now what can go wrong? Well without proper controls according to the experts, quite a lot.

As for energy use. Its massive AI heavily relies on data centres. In 2023 almost 5% of the electricity use in the USA was used by them and this is expected to triple by 2028.

As for employment. Over 150,000 AI jobs listed on linkendin in the USA. As for job losses..

My own view Ai a bit like the curate egg but it must be accountable and monitored.

A1 nothing to do with talking back. The danger is these self learning programmes become "aware" or end up in the hands of bad actors.. As for children's exposure just look at the damage social media has done....

Senator Kennedy had a meeting with the open AI CEO Michael Altman a while back . Was very interesting what was said and how its controlled including taking away licensees if the scale of capability was above certain thresholds and in particular self replicate...

Lloyd customer base circa 27 million. So say 56% of Lloyds customer they say this. Is only 15 million. Plus many people have two banks accounts in Uk and a lot of people not even use computer like my great grandma. Bless that lovely woman.

US stocks.. Scratching my head with this one. A1 companies look very overvalued to my eyes.. Have we not been here before? Isn't some sort of gentle deflation on asset values required. Nvidia now worth more than entire German economy...

Also US car market.. Subprime take 2 looking increasingly likely... $750 a month to "own" a car on a lease deal looking very expensive and the inventory is stacking up. 77% of Americans is reported rely on their car for getting to work etc. We already seen 3 companies go bust. is this the first cracks in the dam?

New car prices are at crazy levels. If it does go belly up what are the global implications..?

Not much to say about accounts as in many ways a bit academic. Tbh I was also expecting far worse.. The 30p seem a reasonable figure and Sidra should be well placed to turn this around... Ok let see wat happen on readmission and how quickly things can be moved forwards..

Wood group cutting it fine that is for sure... No matter how this end up one thing for sure the is Company has treated its shareholders very badly indeed..

If as expected the play is 30p I'll make a small gain.. But those underwater, must be a bitter pill to swallow. This wasn't afterall some wild west AIM scam set up... Time the regulators got tough ... Maybe time also for shareholders compensation scheme to be set up where there has been obvious deception..

That may be the case but isn't the biggest culprit in the oil industry , our own Govt... Nothing would make it happier it seems than to let the whole lot go to the wall... Madness in reality ... These companies are without doubt in my mind strategic assets ... Govt could easily intervene whilst it remains a Uk company..
