Well you only have to go back a week and a few thoughts from a think tank and 5% knocked off its value..

Always keep an eye on the macro. There is a lot of doom that is for sure. I wish it was different. If the Govt levies a windfall tax what then.. Oh it not matter it still have the dividend.. But for how long.. This Govt is dangerous make no mistake..

Next budget will be interesting that is for sure.

Now it was someone from Quilter I believe was saying that the Govt should triple the £3,000 gift allowance rather than reduce / scrap it as has been muted..

If the Govt believe older generation having loads of money that should be in the economy lift the allowance even higher to say £12K.

So thinking on what IPPR says.. Ok so circa £70 billion paid over the past two years But what about before that.. If the figures are correct it would seem that 2012-2022 QE was profitable and it allowed the Treasury to receive over £120 billion from the Banks.

Those years of almost zero rates !!!!!!

Look to me like they cannot have it all ways. With rates still looking to come down at some point that "gain" will again start to reduce as the Bank rate follows.

But we have desperate Govt ...
