Not sure if it has already been mentioned, but I’d be curious to see how many of the existing NED’s get pay rises, as a result of the salary cap being lifted.
If that does happen it would confirm the gravy train status, in that all existing NED’s were employed under the 150K cap, so we can assume that they accepted their posts knowing that that was their market value, and at the time of employment, they hadn’t received any better offers.
I’d be really disappointed if the existing NED’s, over night, started to receive multiples of their existing earnings, without actually adding any added value to the company.
If we can get one super NED, with the new salary cap, that can shake things up and get things moving, I’d be fine with that. However, we’d have to question why the others were needed if ‘one more’ is all we need.
