The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Because people are optimistic. The price is currently at a 8p premium with the divi still to come. At this point, as the divi has been confirmed you have very low risk investment. The most you could lose is 8p. Why sell? Now, after the dividend, and say the shares have dropped to 8p, there is no imminent news and there is now no guarantee of any sort of return so it becomes a high risk investment. it is al about perception and the perception will change dramatically after the divi has been paid
Why? I can't see why the company would be worth anymore. I even have a feeling that £1.00 is overvalue considering how many people will flog their shares as soon as getting the divi
Hate to burst your bubble, but this has been the prevailing theory with imtk and dan since the moment RT got involved. Common sense dictates he will not launch a traditional IPO so =, like with Quindell, he will use an already listed body. He wanted to use Dan as this is listed in the main market, but has failed to gain approval to go above 10% so IMTK seems logical
What kind of game are you playing? You are certainly here with some kind of motive and I am interested to know why.
Bonker - You are the only one who has posted anything today and all you have done is ramp. There is no evidence to suggest this share is going anywhere
merely a non exec, an employee? Holding over 26% of the shares? The man is clearly just a worthless pawn in the company He is the largest shareholder by a large margin
I would loan my company money even if I knew there was a high chance I would never received it again yes, that's what you do if you actually care about your company. I would not charge my own company 10% though.
There are so many reasons why the Director would not have been able to make money buying shares like that.
I am yes, simply because I believe RT may be planning something along the lines of an RTO. I have a couple hundred invested and am prepared to lose every penny in the same way I would if I put a bet on Chelsea to win the premier league right now.
Please, for the love of god, take a lesson on how the stock market works. You also desperately need a lesson or two on common sense since you seem to be so totally devoid of it.
No, that would be an even bigger negative
Really? QPP have outright admitted they were chatting breeze and they have some of the most die hard followers around. It actually seems the more a company lies, the more followers they gain! 10% interest is a dam good investment for the director! You are a fool to think otherwise. Here's the biggest thing though, If the director was lending for the good of the company, he would not charge 10% interest. The rate may not be completely outrageous compared to banks, but the fact someone with a serious vested interest in the company feels the need to charge this is bad
1) They spent it and are not making any profit 2) Probably because the director wanted a nice easy profit and a share placing would dilute the current holders (read, the directors) shares. A share placing would have helped the company more. A bank loan would have been a much better option all round (assuming the bank would lend to them) 3) Yes. Well not outright lying but definitely putting as much spin on the situation as possible.
I have probably told you this before, but you really do not have a clue what you are talking about... this sort of comment just adds to the piling evidence confirming this. A directors loan with 10% interest? that only serves to benefit one person, and It is not IMTK
The director loaning imtk money, whilst charging 10% interest?! Who really stands to gain out of this?
"The order could be with a broker to accumulate and not on the system. Stock Markets 102" You have got to be joking right?
If there was a large buy order but no sellers - the market price would become the buy order price and the sell order price would be the lowest price someone was willing to sell. It is not possible to have a stock price below a large buy order price. Stock markets 101 mate
Why would i open a short? I have never said the price will fall - i am just pointing our the sheer stupidity of some posters on this board.
You guys are either, thick as bricks, or paid to sprout nonsense. "QPE continues to have a large buy order in place above the current price on $IMTK.L" If you believe this, you need a serious lesson in market economics. It is not possible to have a large unfilled buy order above the market price - because then your large buy order would set the market price above that point. Why would sellers be selling at 7.50 when QPE have a buy order at 7.75? They wouldn't!
Considering how long they have claimed to be actively buying, it is very unusual that we haven't had a holdings RNS for QPE for some time. I am starting to this this is BS
