Wold - I am sure you have a point. They must have been right royally p**d off at Lazards involvement in the Skrill deal. Also I think that if you want real pulling power on the FTSe you need a first division broker. CG are perfectly decent but they are no Merrill, Caz, UBS, Deutsche etc I will lay you money that the update for 26h is already drafted, is upbeat and will move the sp. Interesting if the broker change is announced at the same time. Might make sense to have a bigger outfit as sponsor etc. GS

Techni Does that mean your rating has gone from "Hold in" to "Relax" :-) On a more serious note, interesting to see how the mm's are working so hard to keep the sp under control and producing fewer shares each day. As I look at my indicators I see a rising RSI trend and a sp hovering on the edge of the second BB and therefore looking strong verging on breakout. Is that what you see? GS

Rivaldo I cannot remember you ever having written a hyped up post, so I am greatly encouraged. I will still top slice if the opportunity presents itself, I always do, but this is one of my bigger holdings, so there will still be some left if there is no retrace. it is just that it always has in the past.... and if there is a retrac, I will buy back in as my assessment of the company is exactly the same as yours. It is a brilliant business that is just desperately undervalued. GL GS

Thanks - If only it was always like that. Shame it did not carry on falling (not really) or I would have got more back in. There are times when buying back gradually is a pain. And then, there a times when..... it saves your bacon. Too soon to tell, but I think the principal reason for the drop was underperforming against expectations yet again. They clearly need a better FD. Woodford will have had something to say on the subject I would think. GLA GS

I am just about to shoot my foot off. I have been with OPAY for a long time now. Top sliced when possible, sure, but it is one of the big four in my portfolio and I have added a lot recently. Every once in a blue moon a share comes along that ticks every box. I think this is one. For me the course between here and FTSE250 (and maybe NASDAQ) is clearly charted and is being managed by a very competent BoD. The valuation today is almost funny. Compare p/e's with SCH which stands 50% higher, is a far smaller business and is controlled by a convicted criminal. So my target sp by Xmas is in the range 450-500p. I would not be surprised if it goes higher and I will be deeply disappointed (and surprised) if it falls short. I can't buy any more without breaking my own investment rules and I don't do that, but I would if I could. GS

The thing about BK is that they try not to tangle with regulators and like any well managed investment business they have some balance in their portfolio (although Warren likes a big bet now and again...). The thing about Google is it seems to me they are on a collision course with regulators and looking at the Alphabet "portfolio" if Google is NOT dismantled approximately 99% of its value will be in Google. So it still looks like too many eggs in one basket to me. But that is not to say it will not do very well in sp terms. There is nothing to touch Google right now and the barriers to entry are colossal. It is just that it could lose value very fast at the stroke of a pen in Brussels or Washington (or Beijing). GS

I am a Buffet fan - and shareholder - so he has made me a lot of money over the last 29 years. He would never have invested here in the first place. However about 3-4 years ago at a Berkshire Hathaway "gathering" he said something like this: "The golden rule of investing is not to make mistakes. And if you do, to exit them so quickly that no one notices..." But it is true that he loves undervalued investments and despite my (well timed) panic of a couple of days ago I am beginning to think that an ask in the mid 160's might represent good value. Assuming the accounts are straight (see Spikey on the subject) and with Woodford and friends locking up over 80% of the shares there is not a lot of room to short. Which blows my earlier theory up. So a toe has gone back in the water at 164.xx and if it falls further I will buy more. Panic over. GLA GS

Of course. We all get excited and depressed about shares we are interested in. As for this one, it will be interesting to see if a short was opened in the last few days and is declared in the next day or two. it was looking pretty obvious to an amateur like me yesterday, so hard to believe a bright young thing somewhere did not spot it earlier. I think the FTSE "tracker effect" is generally reckoned to be about 10%. GS

Yes I saw it thanks. Still interested as to NW's reaction. Can't get on epast you can I. I still have plenty of shares (5k ish) but my holding is small is relative to the whole SIPP. Which is short- hand for my pension provision which includes a goodly holding of Woodford and all of which is dwarfed by 3 shares in BRKA. Held since 1986. OK? GS

Spikey - I would normally agree. We are both Woodford fans. My concern here is that NW unusually went very public with his support for UTW. He must be feeling a little red faced this morning because imo his comments about UTW in some way underwrote their published outlook. Hell hath no fury and all that.... After I got spooked yesterday, I only hold in my SIPP at present and that is not a lot. The sp is tempting at present, but I think prudence is the better part of valour (do I sound like BH?) so I will wait this out for a bit to see what happens. GS

So it looks as if the Easter sales shortfall was a blip. Sh*t happens. However the rot has been stopped, order intake is OK and things look to be pretty much back on track. And despite the dressing up, the FD has resigned which is probably as it should be. Decent company, very likely to get a first rate replacement which can only be good. Maintenance of dividend is encouraging also. By my calcs it is 14p per share which is a fab yield for a business that does not need cash (otherwise it would not pay it) and that does not seem distressed in any other way either. With a Conservative government for another 5 years prospects must also be good for stronger sales going forward. Really happy to add on the dip first thing. GLA GS

Spikey was right to be "impatient". Unfortunately, it is generally the case that a delay in releasing results and updates on AIM means there is a problem. What is "wrong" here is that UTW is pushing for growth so hard that it is affecting profit growth. I think this is the second time that EDITDA forecasts have been undershot (and that that news has come as a surprise). It calls into question the competence of the FD. We will see if he does an SCS and falls on his sword. He should. Meanwhile for LTH's this looks like being a great top up opp. The principal risk is that Woodford and co lose patience. GL GS

Well, that is the plan :-)) The underlying proposition seems to be quite complex. It will increase profit and cash each year and pay out a fair share of that as dividend. That must be hard for the market to grasp as I do not think XLM will go up in a straight line. Maybe it is just an unpopular share, maybe it is the "Israeli" discount, maybe it is gambling. Whatever. So my hunch is that it will hit 80-90 sometime around the beginning of September. If it does I will top slice as I did in April and in September last year. On past performance it will retrace as newsflow dries up. Then ripe to buy back in somewhere around Xmas. That's the theory at least.... GL GS

qpp is always a red rag. I do think that UTW recognises revenue aggressively, but my business uses them and I think their revenue recognition is in line with the contract we enter into. Nothing wrong with that as long as we don't go bust. Nevertheless, the sp is not behaving like a share in a company bursting with good news and I admit to having been sufficiently spooked by the (I think) delay in releasing results to have reduced my holding at just about break-even this am. Hope I am wrong as I still have plenty in my SIPP and I like the company. GS
