Well with people not being mobile, staying at home, it’s no surprise location based advertising isn’t happening right now. We knew that.
They’re in talks though with relevant people (also public transport, government) with regards to providing and interpreting mobility data. It did not sound like they were in talks with the real decision makers, but it’s a start.
This is an unknown situation and no one knows how Covid-19 will influence our lives in the (immediate) future. So, yes, he can only be cautious.
It’s clear though that if we regain mobility we’d probably be more locally focused. This does make locally targeted advertising more important. And requires that information about peoples location is accurate. LSAI’s Verify will benefit.
If we can’t get Covid-19 under control with help from the current Bluetooth app, I’m sure people are going to have to give up part of there privacy, if not voluntarily then by legislation. That would be beneficial for LSAI. I do hope it doesn’t get to that point though and that we can just turn to our normal lives soon.
The interview is reflecting reality. We know the circumstances we’re living in right now and we know it impacts LSAI’s business. The business outlook improves with every day that passes. Location based advertising will grow and so will LSAI.
