I haven't done a deep-dive into the accounts (sums are not my forte), but aside form the benefit to BAE, I think that AA sounds like a well-run company, geographically and economically well-positioned in the aviation sector and as such I'm intending to have a punt, despite already being a bit over-exposed in airlines. Has anyone had a closer look at the books and developed an opinion?

As a separate topic, how do we go about getting a London Southeast forum set up for Air Astana?

I think it was obviously tongue-in-cheek and I doubt anyone took it seriously judged by the number of 'likes'. No-one responded with any comments relating to serious enquiries about RR. Whether the attempt at wit was worth the time and space is another matter.

After watching this for a long time (and quite recently opened a position), my conclusion was that it's 'under the radar'. Time will tell. Good luck to you - and all! :)

I'm more impressed that at 35, FALCONER-FLYER has a granddaughter with feet big enough for '280 quid' trainers. At 35, a good chunk of my disposable income was being wasted on my three daughters' school fees and grandchildren were a very distant prospect. Still, all that profligate spending wasn't a complete waste of time because said daughters can all read and write and each having attained degrees at leading universities, are now between them raising my seven grandchildren, who in turn are wasting their time (and parents' dosh) learning to read and write...
