That is probably why they have split the business to produce all the covid stuff at Alva and the non covid stuff at Littleport (soon to move to a larger site in the Ely/Cambridge area). They have been taking on all sorts of staff like mad over the last 6 months so that s is a big sign to me. The way Alva is set up means it is reasonably mobile to move as well.

The costs may not go up as the fixed costs wold be split over 24 hours rather than 8 or 12? Rent and rates don't take a break when the factory is closed. I think it is more a case of getting the workers and treating them well so they stay rather than working them to death for 3 months.

There is a factory at Bury St Edmunds and a much bigger ne at Wissington (outside Kings Lynn), another smaller one outside Norwich at Cantley and another one at Newark. I look after the compliance of beet intake and the compliance of sugar testing in the Lab to ensure the quality of the beet. I have 24 staff who do this and this s why I am keen to get the LFD on site so the staff (and me) can have peace of mind and come to work or self isolate as necessary. I have been speaking with the sales people at Omega which is why I have a good idea about what is happening. The food allergy testing for employees was also very interesting and such a good idea if you can identify why a person may not be feeling well and you can pinpoint a possible food issue so they feel better and work better as well. They are aiming at China and Europe as well as the UK and have sales people in place ready to go after the manufacturing site expansion.

I think you are confused. ODX will get a minimum of 25% of the orders or contracts from the RTC based on how much they can manufacture. for example they may receive £200 million worth of orders from a recent tender bid or if they are capable they may receive £300 million if they can show the ability to produce this amount. They keep all of the profit. The issue is that they may have to produce and sell at a reduced price as they are committed to the agreement. It may be that they can produce and sell on the world market for a lot more nett profit. The demand for this is far outstripping the supply of any one company so it needs to be shared between companies to get the amounts the government has asked for.

If you move out towards the East Anglia the cost is a bit lower. There are a lot of graduates and suchlike in the area who are looking for work. It is cheaper than Oxford and London! I am sure that if you have a product you are selling out of each week you can afford to take on the staff and treat them well. Also there are a lot of people who have the skills to change to this type of career if they have been let go or struggling for work in the area. I currently work in the sugar industry but would be able to transfer my rusty skills to some of the roles on offer.

They have found somewhere and are will be moving soon. They are expanding the food intolerance testing to corporate businesses to test employees as part of a well being service. I was speaking to the sales manager and it sounds very interesting. this is their long term plan as they are aware the covid testing may drop off. It was very interesting. This is a long term company with a definite long term plan outside of covid testing. Some of the other pharma's don't have much to offer outside of covid testing which is why there share price may stall after a while so choose your pharma shares carefully. I am very happy with the direction Omega are taking and have them in my SIPP (I'm 54 next month) so hoping they will do well. Looking forward to the next 12 months.

it is Innova being used at my wife's school and a student I know has to take a LFT at UEA and that was Innova as well. Soon to be a distant memory when the UK product is rolled out.

Littleport is only dealing with the non covid side of the business. The site is being closed to enable a move to a larger site near Cambridge . I have this is first and authority. The food intolerance and allergy side of the business is being undertaken and developed here. Alval will be manufacturing all the covid products.
