price down but who cares if you are here for the long run15 Sep 2021 08:05
3p down but that is to be expected. i am still holding and adding when I can . As said by many others we are at the point of needing positive sales reports and nothing else will really lift the price. Positive noises from Omega and I sense they are as frustrated as we are.
For novel testing. Now that is interesting. To me this indicates something new being tested that hasn't been seen or made before and subject to novel testing. It happens a lot in the food industry when a new food or manufacturing technique needs official approval and verification.
Think outside of the UK. only 14% of the world is vaccinated which is why part of the delay is getting worldwide approvals in other countries. I imagine sales to the UK will only be a small part of revenue in the next couple of years. That is my opinion and why I am holding and not getting frustrated at the short term sh* t that is currently happening. For whatever reason the UK government has treated all the UK diagnostic industries appallingly. For me this is a hold for the next two years and then see where ODX are, unless they hit £10 then I am sold and out!!!!!
My chat with the people at Littelport on Friday was worthwhile. Not a lot happening until they move in the next couple of months and then they can get the approvals they need to increase sales. Increasing the workforce as well. Looking good for Christmas.
They are leaving the Litleport site (it is not very big) and keep in mind there will be onsite staff but the sales team is working from home. Much of the planned sales is dependent on getting the next level of approval (easy) but it wasn't worth putting in the time and money until they moved to the new site. I know a lot more but keeping it generic as there is a lot of negativity and non-believers on the board. I know what I was told and it is true as I was applying for a job.
With regard to the Littleport site. They have 65 people working there and will soon be moving to a larger site very soon. The will then be applying for more higher level approvals to manufacture and sell products. Then it will change at the other site and be an addition to what is being made at Alva. It is expected to double the amount of staff and increase the markets to sell into. It is looking very bright over in Ely for PCR and allergy testing.
My interview went well. Job not paying enough. Lots happening and expanding. They are waiting on IVDR approval and MD SAP when they move to the new place so they can fully realise their potential. Orders pending to say the least for the non lateral flow test side of the business.
