Interesting article in the Times Business section on page 8 tech talk. It writes about the LFD which was dropped from the FDA list after it was found to be less then reliable. Must be good news for anyone that can make a reliable test!

Alcohol also reduces the effectiveness of the vaccine and they aren't telling people who have had the vaccine not to drink for 2 weeks. I feel a major problem coming along when vaccinated people get the virus and are confused as they had the vaccine and should have been protected. Then it turns out they had a bottle of wine to celebrate and undid all the good of the vaccine.

but you don't get told not to have a drink for up to 2 weeks when you have the jab. What is the point of getting the vaccine organised and rolled out only to have the recipient drink and reduce the effectiveness.

I don't know which devices they are using but it could be interesting for ODX. I am sure there will be other companies that follow this lead.

just watching a programme about the vaccine and the affect alcohol has on the protection it offers. The presenter said that you shouldn't have alcohol 2 or 3 days prior to the injection and for 2 WEEKS afterwards. I wonder how many people will have a drink too soon and blame the vaccine for not being effective? My belief is these tests will be around for a long time even if thy aren't used very much in this country there is a massive market in the rest of the world who want them. In real terms the UK is a small country with a small population. When I was in Zambia the HIV tests were all over the place and cost $10 US if you wanted one. they are a LFD freely given out to the locals (I was with the UN back then).

I am more excited about the next couple of days than I ever was for Christmas ! Things are hotting up and lots of people seem to be pushing various tests and then you see they are professional use only and etc. I have staff who need a regular test and really need the approval so I can have a steady work force. Obviously it won't do my share holding any harm but I do need these tests as well.

Clearly state for professional use only on the packet so how are they selling them to the public?
