RE: Masks30 Oct 2020 20:08
From early medical history through to present day surgeons , infectious disease doctors and nurses, and suchlike have worn masks to prevent spread of germs , viruses and whatever other nasties can be inhaled or exhaled.
To argue the usefuleness of face coverings during the attempted containment of the current virul outbreak is just a daft argument.
Also im an asthma sufferer , who COULD get an exemption do I want one NO! in the same vein as when im grinding sanding working in asbestos areas I also wear a mask. It might not keep all the nasties out but it increases the ODDs highly in my favour.
In the case of a virus will be exactly the same , add to that an antivirul property , which will then reduce that risk further and has the combined benefit of ensuring virus on mask is dead incase you rub your mask with hands etc. Face coverings are our only real way of preventing spread of infection at the moment other than total lockdown and separation for however long it takes virus cells to die.
I think these masks will be a winner in the marketplace if supply can be achieved.
The entire north sea is using antivirul snoods at present and that took off very quickly in the spring and is industry wide now.
that's my tuppence worth
