Morning Bankfool. Ha, not trying to rival you, I’ve developed this lovely habit of waking up during the night when too much is going on recently!
Been investing in the FTSE for a good few years now and only started with some aim since early this year (already had BOO and DNL, but didn’t count those as they behave like FTSE). There’s certainly a lot to learn on aim and the length of time to hold stock is a big one and seems to vary so greatly here. I just decided to research and hold for a while, as I’d probably end up losing a lot if tried to trade lol.

I’m in Lloyd’s too, so it’s been a bit hairy there. Thank god for AstraZeneca...

Lol Nelson, you make me laugh. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with your stocks. The only one I don’t really look at is odx. Tils is solid and will come good and dddd would have had great results if the placebo hadn't been so freakishly high, which means the results generally aren’t statistically significant. They have other irons in the fire there with other products though.
I believe In our fundamentals too and our results were much more solid. AIM certainly is fascinating and mildly terrifying and it amazes me how quickly people jump into and out of stocks, just on a hint of good/bad or uncertain news after little to no research. Creates a bit of a wild ride with sp for sure...

Well this has been a strange couple of weeks in pharma. DDDD has a bit of a hammering today and probably more of the same tomorrow, to follow the same pattern as us after promising results. Completely agree with Tommy, as there is enough room in pharma for lots of companies that help people, to do well, surely?!
Nelson, I’m pretty sure that the Japanese company had access to the results as they stood at the time. They obviously weren’t written up in full at the time, but whatever was there at that point would have been able to be viewed, certainly.
Regarding 401, I really need to spend some more time to have a deeper look before commenting properly, to be honest. At a cursory glance, I wasn’t hugely impressed and then focused on 201, as that was more imminent in my mind. As Adam says, the problem with it is to do with it not being sexy too, as another company I’m invested in repurpose drugs for unmet needs also. They don’t set the world on fire, but they are steady and will get somewhere and they slowly creep up with the sp. I rarely check in there.

There’s a difference between posting about the science and actively wanting a treatment to fail. Well twisted, again...

This will be my only post for today, hopefully. At the end of the day, we aren’t supporting football teams here. These are matters of life and death. I feel that certain people forget this at times.
I have been raised properly and would never in my wildest dreams consider actively wanting a pharmaceutical company that is trying to solve such an important issue to fail in their quest. Just because people are not invested somewhere, what kind of human being does that make you, if you actively go to another bb to want to bring it down? In the companies that I am not invested in, within the pharmaceutical sphere, I wish them nothing but positive thoughts. This isn’t a trivial product that is trying to be made by any of these companies. We aren’t buying and selling clothes or a relatively meaningless item.

I find some of the intentions of people coming here over this past week to be distasteful at best, abhorrent at worst. You need to take a good hard look in a mirror.

Yes, as they will have to sign a confidentiality agreement. This is why you may have noticed that I’ve never mentioned a JV or anything else, as it all depends on how those four participants performed and how much pharmas like the results. Hence us being mushrooms in the dark. I’m only able to work with what I have in front of me and hope the rest follows the pattern that’s been emerging

At the end of the day, none of us here can predict with certainty the fortunes of the companies we choose to invest in. Especially in these uncertain times, the fortunes of any company can change on a sixpence. This is even more true for the types of companies on AIM. I mean, look at the banks and rolls Royce and easyJet...nothing is certain. We take a risk, which is why I mainly invest in pharmas as a couple of mining companies. I feel safer with things I know I am able to research a little more. But In reality none of us are insiders in these companies, so anything could happen at any time. That’s the gamble you take, as we are all mushrooms, looking for clues in the bits of information available to us.

I wonder if it’s a full moon...as we have had all the crazies come out of the woodwork this week! I love AIM...very entertaining.
