I was pleased that Peter expects all of the outstanding MSC contracts to be signed simultaneously - I had feared we might get one set of signatures and then have to wait 6 months for the next lot. Great news.

Have seen a few people mention pre-submitted questions have already been answered - anyone got anything interesting to share?

Not knowing much about the companies, I asked ChatGPT whether they would be good fits for working with Quadrise. It appears between them, they are more involved in bunkering, feedstocks and marine fuel supply, so we may be engaging them in this capacity.

The interims post has also been liked by the COOs of Asyad and Lila Global, and the Global Head of Dry Freight at Louis Dreyfus Company. All shipping companies (I don't know much about their eligibility as QED partners) but connected with Peter.

The CEO of VSA Capital has commented on the interims post: "Good progress being made and just a matter of time".

The market seems to think it was quite positive...

I am trying to take some solace in the fact that Peter said he would refrain from announcing things or providing piecemeal updates until he had something concrete (ideally with client commitments tied in). Therefore, if/when something is announced, it should be worth the wait.

Just a bit of light hearted fun MDMc, given the constant mention here of conferences and lack of deals. I'm as up to my eyeballs here as anyone, I'd bet, but forever hopeful...!

stop going to conferences.

i'm serious.

if you've been to 5+ events the past year and haven't closed a single deal...

you don't have a deal flow problem. you have an action problem.

conferences are comfortable.

you fly somewhere nice to stay in a luxury hotel like a courtyard marriott, shake hands, collect business cards, and tell yourself you're building relationships.

i'm not saying networking doesn't matter. it does. but there's a ratio that matters more:

conferences attended vs. deals closed.

if that ratio is off, you're not investing. you're socializing with a lanyard on.

go to one or two events a year. be intentional. follow up within 48 hours.

and spend the rest of your time actually getting **** done.

learning is great. action is better.

HF has become a depressive Stockcheque. Doesn't even try to be subtle anymore.

Right, let's clear this up. There is no "deadline." Just a bunch of rabid investors foaming over any hint of progress. The man has been in the job for a matter of months. He's probably still getting used to the coffee machine, not pulling mystical rabbits out of hats for shareholders. I believe he will get things done but we can't all expect him to produce in a matter of months what others have failed to do over multiple decades.

Be realistic and stop disappointing yourselves.
