Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Great update - basically confirms we are all go and that there should be solid newsflow over the next month or two with some very important Miles-stones within touching distance, including COMMERCIAL REVENUE, MSC trial agreement and the golden goose B100 fuel that potentially turns us into the hottest of hot tickets in town.
Keep it coming, team!
Not sure why this seems to have received such a negative reaction. Yes, we need a commercial deal and more money ASAP, but this is IN ADDITION to ongoing commercial talks with Morocco and prospective Utah funding (on which there appears to have been movements behind the scenes despite it not having come in yet). More irons in the fire = further derisking and greater likelihood something will come off. More customers = more competition for our fuel and hopefully increased urgency to get something finalised by the clients. Of course, we don't want new projects to be a distraction to getting our existing projects over the line, but this has to be seen for what it is, which is further endorsement of our product and ultimately a greater chance of commercial success.
Would be interested to hear people's opinions on whether they think this is likely to be onboard an MSC vessel or with another shipping company. If it is possibly another shipping company, then that would be great in terms of widening our medium-term customer base, but also might light a fire under MSC to get on with their own trial to maintain first mover advantage. Will be interesting to find out.
With all the delays, news vacuums and incessant squabbling by the usual suspects on here, I think it's important to take a step back and realise where we've got to.
We are in discussions for our. first. commercial. contract. in Morocco. REVENUE. Real money. That in itself is huge, with further possibilities of additional sites. It could be announced in days, weeks or a couple of months.
We have the ear of the largest shipping company IN THE WORLD, and have just signed up Cargill, which is an absolute behemoth of a company, who are interested in working with us to test and roll out our product.
In the meantime, we've had "the board are liars", "its all smoke and mirrors", "the Morocco project will come to nothing, if the trial ever gets done" etc etc etc.
So I don't really know what the point of this post is other than "keep your hair on, people". There may have been delays but so far the board have continued to deliver on the key projects since the "business review" conducted in respect of which major projects were worth pursuing. Yes, it's taken longer than we would all have liked, but I suspect when it does come, it'll be worth waiting for. And I for one, can't bloody wait.
Permitting process underway for MSC trial, agreement between QED/Cargill/MSC being finalised, Morocco report submitted late 2023 (well received by client), commercial agreement and further site trials being progressed (with Moroccan counterparty due to visit QED), cash has been well conserved.
