The questions were probably all pre-agreed hence that format was preferred over an IMC, so they could dodge the grilling. As in every interview ever, we were told all is very exciting, projects are coming along, there are new projects on the horizon and a new fuel is being developed. In my view, this was a much nervier performance from Jason, probably because it's dawning on them that they actually need to need to deliver something or they'll be joining the back of the queue at the job centre. The next few months should be very interesting.
I have to agree, Prep. The fact the board continue to earn so handsomely while continuously pushing deadlines is beyond belief. We are consistently fed a rose-tinted narrative, which personally has come to feel fairly manipulative, as many of us continue to make decisions on investing our hard-earned cash based on commercial fantasies that never come to pass.
Ducking the investor conference call as they're "too busy" when they've had time for name changes and website refreshes (despite no project delivery) is the worst bit for me. Really really poor in my opinion. Can't be bothered to face the music despite knowing they'll soon be coming back holding their cap out to investors AGAIN has really left a bad taste in my mouth.
If you have a twitchy bum, I'd sell now and head to the chemist for a good cream to sort it out. Only an hour and ten minutes until the shops close!
Thanks, JackG and HF.
Let's hope this news is, dare I say it, "imminent", as it de-risks a lot and will be the point the whole project starts to come alive.
Thanks JackG,
"we've been told refiners are waiting in the wings for Leandra's route to be determined."
When was this confirmed please? Fuel supply hurdle has been one of my biggest concerns since Jason's comments that things were moving very slowly. Would make me feel a lot better to know they are simply waiting for Leandra's route details!
...to all our friends in Morocco!
Let's hope they're kicking off the festivities having completed a successful trial and safe in the knowledge they'll soon all be breathing cleaner air.
Sounds like we may all benefit from a 46G timeline update? :)
Quick, Earn Dollars!
Quite Enough Deviations?
Agreed - slowly chipping away at the obstacles. Hopefully the test results unlock the fuel supply agreement and we see Leandra head to dry dock, then we can all get very excited indeed.
There was also some speculation on here that the fuel efficiency data on the website appeared to have been updated and it was questioned whether this was off the back of the Wartsila test results.
IR have confirmed to me that this speculation was previously incorrect, though the latest Wartsila results have now been incorporated.
I just received the following response from IR in respect of further testing required before the MSC trials:
"To clarify, there are no further tests needed prior to MSC trial on bioMSAR™ commencing on the vessel.
The next phase of assessment referred to in the RNS are hazard identification and operability studies, which are done together with Wartsila, MSC and the classification society in advance of the vessel trial for insurance purposes.
The same studies were previously completed for the prior MSAR vessel trial with Maersk, hence we don’t anticipate any surprises now that the recent testing has been completed."
That for me is very good news.
The Company is pleased to confirm that, as a result of these test results, bioMSAR™ can proceed to the next phase of assessment, with hazard identification and operability studies now scheduled ahead of commercial vessel testing on the MSC Leandra.
So tests complete enabling us to do more tests... but WHEN?!
I took it as a comment on the efficacy of chartists (in line with recent discussions on this board) rather than an attempt to de-ramp QFI stock. Those familiar with SR will know he has no issues with going out of of his way to try and prove his point!
There's a guy who sits on the pavement by my local cash machine that says the same thing!
Thanks, Wonga. Why not send over the list to IR and say these are the things you (and no doubt other investors) would be interested in hearing about? They may not notify us of all of them (or be able to) but they clearly need a bit of help on the communication front and they might appreciate the guidance.
Unsurprisingly, comments disabled on the latest one!
If, if, IF we finally pull this off, the price is looking a real bargain. C'mon QFI!
