BU... I think that "HarmProf" is intimating that somehow I am an insider and have access to privileged information... but it may be as you suggest.
On a separate but associated point, I do find it odd how some poster's ability to write English varies so much from day to day. Here, for example, a post from HarmProf, this morning, who remember only "signed on" to the board on 12th August: "It is difficult for adults to change deeply embedded character traits. Therefore, such behavior is expected to be monitored and addressed by moderators. But could it be that some of the individuals responsible for rude or insulting responses are themselves among the moderators? Acting of character will not last long. Who are the moderators of this board?" An American spelling of behavior but apart from missing the word "out" out before "of character", which is easily done when the brain is faster than the fingers, and indicates it is not copy/paste AI output, a perfectly crafted piece.
Now let's compare it to HarmProf on 17th August, although there are many similar examples: "Dear gentlemen, let us get the facts and chrome reached its bottom and signs that we move up again. Contract conditions were not favorable and looking for the details if the new deal is better. A profit is a profit and 15m Chrome profit is still more than 6000 ton copper profit with a higher probability that chrome prices will go up. Word war 3 will put a spanner in the works, but peace deal with Ukraine (higher probability than shooting the nuclear warheads) will translate into world economic growth. Too much speculations and let Jubilee present the models, data to be reviewed by investors. Remember, I mentioned the most likely incorrect modeling of multiple possible futures." Hmmmmm.... same American spellings, so might be the same machine and language version, but I struggle to understand how the same person could have written these two pieces. An analysis by AI, exactly the sort of work it is cut out to do, results in this:
"Likely Origin Profile
First writer: More fluent in English (correct articles, correct agreement). Likely native or highly proficient second-language speaker. Abstract vocabulary suggests education in English-medium context.
Second writer: Systematic article/verb errors → non-native English speaker. Likely South African L2-English speaker (Bantu L1 influence).
Conclusion: The texts are almost certainly from different writers. The first writer is fluent, structured, reflective, and uses correct grammar — perhaps a native English speaker or a very advanced ESL writer with a professional/academic background. The second writer is less fluent, numerically focused, and shows consistent grammatical interference, strongly suggesting a South African (or possibly Eastern European) with English as a second language." Two (or more) individuals using the same avatar to post at different times of the day? We have seen similar before. What do you think? Cu
