Another excellent analysis of this share's future Adastra. If Porta want to show what 2015 will bring these results will need to clearly show what Porta can offer. Part of that will be to show the profitability of the company. I would like to see some numbers on cost savings of the 2 new purchases, shedding LLP legacy. Plus some idea on proftability of PPS and Publicasity and what this may bring to 2015's numbers. Fee income and information on number of clients could be just as important. Perhaps some positive news on better overall margins. Between PPS/Publicasity/shedding LLP/cost savings from centralisation these could add at least 2 million to the bottom line for 2015. That's the difference between breaking even and making a 2-3M profit. Of course these results won't include the profit from the 2 new purchases. So the reality is even if results show the firm breaking even as you predict, it technically could hide a 1-1.3M profit. Hopefully like last year they will give some positive data on final 3 months of year. Many people value a firm based on what money they expect a firm to mae in the future. If Porta can paint a picture that the market believes the SP would have to rise to match this. I expect the next 2 days to see another 800k-1M+ of purchases of shares. If people keep buying the SP will have to rise. Actually looking forward to the trading statement in 1-2 months time too. This will give Porta a chance to give some real numbers for 2015.

I count nearly 2M in buys over last 5-6 trading days and the share has drifted lower. ( Including the strange end of day at 8.27 and 8.29 trades which appear to be buys and the three supposed sells at 8.54.) This would seem to suggest a large sell order being announced for the results. The buys could also be from one person too. Hmmm. Positive that so many are buying pre the results. Worrying the share price has not followed suit yet. I think the results will be closer to a break even as they won't include PPS or Publicasity. I suspect the information behind the results will be just as important as the results themselve. Should be interesting. Hopefully the results will finally see the seller clear his stock and perhaps see another director buy? (Hoping.)

Results are due on 28/05/2015. Pretty predictable given last directors buy. Also same date as last year.

Thanks Mike. In which case all the 3 large trades could be buys??? Certainly no 128k trades on ISDX. So why is the share still below 8p? Why are the MM holding back the share?? The results will certainly be interesting.

Redleaf 12 but seem to have gained a client since Jan. Not sure if this just covers financial clients. Nice to see Newsgate leading 1-2 areas. Hard to know what these numbers really mean.

To add to the mystery another large trade at 7.547p today for 175000 shares. That makes almost 3 trades adding up to 500k of shares. Could this mean we can expect a large buy order to be filled in or is someone just agreeing a cheaper price? Very strange.

Looking at the trades I just noticed time of the 128528 share trade at 7.54p was at 8.24am. Seeing it at 8.24 makes me wonder if this is actually a buy? As buy trades inbetween all came in at 7.6p. Very strange. Same for the 165680 share trade of shares at 7.545p yesterday at 16:39hrs. The previous sells had all been at 7.3p with buys at 7.675p. Yet you would expect 2 large buys to push up price. Hmmm. If they are both buys it shows strong demand at 7.5-7.7p. Any thoughts??

Todays trades kind of confirm the stale investor selling stock. He seems to of put a 7.3 limit on his sells. At this rate he will easily clear over 1m shares this month. Will be interesting to see how much stock he dumps on the results. As Adastra suggested we seem to have 2 investors and perhaps an employee dumping stock as they need funds. All news this year has been mostly positive. My figures for Redleaf will be out as they were onlyturning over 1.3 when taken over. I am still positive about results as revenue in Feb was much stronger than last year. I also believe the company is gradually turning a profit. 2015 results will show this. See what next 2 weeks brings.

Mike- Titles on messages really helps. It's great you are finding these news stories. Unfortunately unless you expand the messages you only see a dot in the title. The fact that Redleaf have employed 3 new staff either suggests staff turnover or maybe that business is booming and they need more staff. I suspect the business is performing very strongly.and this will be shown in the results in 2 weeks time. It's my view that many of the divisions in Porta are outperforming the market due to Porta's strategy of global PR units. I really do believe that Porta will be posting a Profit at end of May. The trading lately has been strange. That large sell today came in at 7.54. I was expecting sells at 7.3. Perhaps the earlier 160k of buys pushed up the asking/bid price. I am still convinced this is one large stale investor. I can't think why anyone would want to sell unless they needed the money. Timing of any buy now is crucial if someone is still dumping stock. Should be a good 2 weeks ahead as people who believe good results are coming will buy.

Old news but they sell what a great pitch Porta offer. Another excellent pitch won and another reason why I think the results will be strong. No idea why this share is drifting. I am thinking of putting a large investment in as this share will rise strongly if the results are as good as I think. (Assuming no legacy seller.)

Not that strange. Sometimes on a ISA if you don't have sufficient funds they will sell some of your shares to cover the quarterly costs relating to the service. Strange to have 2 amounts. In next 3 weekswe will get the results which I am confident will offer good news. The 6 month figures did not include 6 months of Redleaf or WSM. Or 1-2 months of PPS and Publicasity. All of these four will more than likely swing Porta into a strong profit. That on top of a profitable Porta which has left the cash churn stage. Would still like to know who keeps selling shares here. Especially on a day where the market had cheer from a Conservative win. Although I doubt Porta will now gain from a second election in 6-12 months time from a hung parliament.

Yes but the volumes are unusual for a day of no news. We know at least 1 major share holder was clearing stock. The current low value is not justified. 3 Directors buying in large volumes at 7-7.5p. Most directors last year also bought stock too at much higher prices (10-11p). All the RNS news has been good and we have been told the 2 new purchases will transform the balance sheet. The news PPS generated most income from Public affairs is another telling tale of how well the firm is doing. Also the fact that Publicasity and Newsgate are now rising fast in the rankings and when merged will be in the top 20 in their field. The fact someone is selling for funds is no real indication of how the company is doing . Most like me are holding off waiting for price to dip further before buying more stock in the knowledge an ex director is selling up still. Someone clearly needs the money. Patience is key here. I really do believe the company is turning a corner now.

Are we really sure this is still a legacy seller pouncing on a good RNS? The market already knew this news anyway. Hard to tell if it is just scared small investors or a legacy seller. In any case I was suprised PTCM decided on a RNS today for this news. Albeit the way they tell the news makes it sound like they are competing on another level to their rivals with compelling pitches. I think share will quickly bounce back in next few days. Below 8P seems a great buy price.

The MM want to keep the price between 7.5 and 8.5. The price got to 8.5 and the buy price fell 0.15. It's almost as if the MM added additional stock to the market so the buy price would drift. It's also interesting how all these buys are so small. It's like picking up crumbs of the cookies. While the bulk of the cookie is left tucked away for larger investors. Are we really at an inflexion point or just another pause before seller start again. 400k sold a week or so back yet minimal buys create a recovery to 8.5p. I think market traders are borrowing stock here expecting the share to rise. Thus creating short supply for investors and creaming off profit for them.

Guessing Wed 27th May. Based on last director buy (Mar 27th) and fact they were released last year on Wed May 28th. Also based on late trading statement in Feb suggesting late results. They have up to 6 months after year end (31st Dec) to release results.

Like I said. At present ignore the share price. It's meaningless. One day down 5-6% next day back 3-5% and for no apparent reason? I doubt one 60k buy would of shifted the market that much. Today we suggest legacy seller is gone tomorrow we suggest he is back. Patience, we have a month of this to come. Results will reveal all I think.

Patience is key here. When you have good news why go round making small announcements? Porta announce all small contract wins on Twitter and their website. They won't announce plans to buy firms now as I suspect many directors may still want to buy in after the results. Once this is done I am sure they will enter a closed period if they have funds. This is a share to tuck away in your pension as long term it will become good. No champagne moments yet but it will happen eventually if the underlying figures are backed up by strong results. The day to day movement of this share means nothing. All market games not related to the actual performance of the shares or the FTSE.

The key thing here is for Porta to post a result that shows the company is making money!! Then as Pelliot suggests people will be able to place a value on the company. Sadly many may still look at 2013 and think 3M loss. Which badly misrepresents the companies current business position. This 7.5-8.5 value seems crazy. I am convinced it is the MM preparing for the results. They may even know the date too. I was convinced end of May. Anyone have any ideas?? Another thought I had on 2015 result. Remember 2014's results will not show full year of accounts for Redleaf or WSM. Only 8 or so months. So in effect 2015 results bring in a whole years of trading of 4 firms into the results. It's possible all 4 could offer profits in total of 2.5-3M+ for 2015. On top of anything the existing firm can offer.

Last 3-4 business days we have had 3-4 large sells be it on LSE or ISDX. The share price was starting to drift as no one was buying. Most probably waiting to see what the seller might do? I had thought the market makers were trying to fill buy orders? It's possible one of the 'stale investors' has placed a large sell order (To fill the buy orders or just to dump more stock.) to be announced on the results or once the order is filled? Perhaps the buy orders had just been filled and so the bid price dropped? The most likely reason is the share has drifted due to no news and volumes of sells. It's unlikely there will be any major announcement before the results. Could be a tough 3-4 weeks here. Still think the share will bounce strongly on the results if they are as good as Adastra and I suspect.

I got a few things wrong here. What may show up in results for the purchases of PPS and Publicasity at end of year is a 'Identifiable assets acquired and liabilities assumed'. So like WSM in September the new assets could have an impact on profits if it is deemed the company gain value from the assets/liabilities. Judging from 6 month results in September we can expect a brief update on both firms for the year as they did with Redleaf and WSM in September. The rules for Directors buys is not as simple as I had assumed. 'This period runs from the last day of the accounts up to the date the accounts are in effect published unless longer than two months, in which case it is restricted to the two months prior to the release of the figures.' So it's possible the accounts could be prepared in under 2 months. Accounts is not something I claims to be an expert about. I always considered posting here as a learning experience.
