In today's budget, the Chancellor has announced changes to the Energy Company Obligation and taken action to reduce energy bills:
🏡 Firstly, the Energy Company Obligation will end in 2026. This has obviously not been an easy decision but doesn't mean we aren't going to continue supporting those on low-incomes to decarbonise their homes. The Chancellor also announced today an additional £1.5 billion capital investment to tackle fuel poverty through the Warm Homes Plan, which is in addition to the £13.2 billion of funding already allocated to the Plan at the Spending Review. More details of how we will supporting those on low-incomes will be shared in the Warm Homes Plan.
