How hilarious that Dominic Raab should describe being sidelined by May as "shuffling the deckchairs". The expression is usually "shuffling the deckchairs on the Titanic". I.e faffing around before disaster strikes.

There is a vineyard in Yorkshire now and even as far north as Northumberland. I was a physicist for 50 years, in a different field, and like to base everything on evidence. 20 years ago I was very sceptical about climate change, 10 years ago less so, but now it seems to me that the evidence is in. There may be a small chance that it is not real but I would rather trust someone who had spent a lifetime researching it than someone like Trump who bases his opinions on what he thinks his fan base wants to hear. The crunch is that for sake of our descendants we can't afford to take the risk. . .

I live in the south of England and your description of seeing doctors is completely at odds with reality. I had a health scare recently and everything happened impressively quickly. I saw my GP within a few days and had a host of tests including a colonoscopy within two weeks. This is not an isolated example either as other family members have had similar experiences.

Of course the most laughable tabloid of all is the Daily Mail the only publication banned as a source by Wikipedia as a source, for "poor fact checking, sensationalism and flat out fabrication".

Entertainer/worker seems an artificial distinction. Human nature, mine included ensures that sportsman, pop stars, actors etc become fabulously wealthy doing something they love. We all facilitate this by buying tickets, records, merchandise etc. Does anyone believe that Lewis Hamilton deserves $40 million a year for driving a car? Completion dictates that if one team wouldn't pay it he would be poached by another that would.

Who says we're happy to see a footballer paid funny money ? We don't have any choice, it's the competition between clubs and companies that creates these daft salaries. When you look at it rationally is anyone worth even £1 million a year? Does someone on that amount work 100 times as hard as another on £10k s year ?

New potatoes admittedly have slightly more taste. Nothing wrong with a nice chip but needs to be seasoned. My local does great curly fries which do taste of something. Can't stand curry but would obviously give flavour to the spuds if you like that sort of thing.

Personally, never understood why people are so keen on spuds. Most tasteless, bland veg you can imagine. Give me a nice pile of runner beans any day.

At the risk of being accused of more prattling, have just seen that there is a market on this on Betfair and it is time limited which makes much more sense, even if the time period seems rather short. The market is "Next country to invoke article 50". The favourite is no country
