If they were clearly in default for so long, it seems surprising that the court didn't award Cambay to Oilex. It would indicate that things aren't that clear cut. I guess that's what they're talking about.

Thanks for that Adams. A reasoned argument rather than just hype. As I understand it, you are saying that although gspc have deposited the money that was the reason for the default in the first place, they still defaulted and therefore there is a possibility that they might agree to transfer some of Cambay rather than take an outside chance of losing the lot. Not sure how likely we are to get anything but at least it makes sense as an argument. Also, you have confirmed that some on here have been indicating that they think more of Cambay is a possibility, contrary to what Retour seems to think. Retour, I don't know what you mean by having a historic beef. I first invested 4 years ago at 2.5p. I have averaged down several times, most recently on 23/11 at 0.285 and my average is now 0.57. I do of course agree that drilling is the key to a decent boost.

Surely no one would base investment decisions on anything said on a bulletin board anyway? Looks like no one is going to answer my query at 8.14 as to why /if Oilex would get more of Cambay.

Why is everyone so convinced we will own more once the talks are over? GSPC have deposited what they owe us and before anyone says they will need to repay the lenders quickly, it is a drop in the ocean compared to their total debts.

Of course it's not inconsequential. Five times the shares means 10-14 then is equivalent to 2 to 2.8 now. Which would still be great but it is a significant difference.

I notice you don't mention what multiple of shares there are compared to 2010. Four or five times?

Wouldn't disagree with that timetable. Except possibly the degree of uplift from the initial settlement. This will be somewhere between bugger all and nothing to shout about.

Yuri, I have already stated I think this will go up if and when gas drilling/gas production kicks off. I agree that some of the drift down is due to the lack of news. That is why I think that once the uncertainty is over we may get back to 0.4ish. Incidentally, when the court case was on, I said that my guess was 1.0 if they didn't deposit the money and 0.4 if they did. For that I was accused of being consistently negative. What I am contesting is those who think there is a huge upside just from the results of the talks/arb.

Jester, as stated on here I loaded up two weeks ago at 0.285. This brought my average down from 0.84 to 0.56. I am as keen as anyone for this to take off. As for deramping, surely no-one actually believes anything said on these boards has any effect.
