Actually, the whole Cambay saga was pretty trivial to gspc. They are a company that had lost multiple billions. Really they could have just given Cambay to Oilex and barely noticed.
I would agree about Joe keeping the lights on during yhe Covid year of 2020. Pity about his other misjudgement of spending 4 or 5 years chasing the cash calls and losing about the amount a year over that period.

Not really VF. What we do know is that gspc were keen to get rid of Cambay, having lost all faith in it and tried to sell it before in 2016. Oilex put in a bid, which failed, and it wasn't sold presumably because bids were too low. Really ironic when they must have now sold for probably a lot less than they could have got then. We all hope they will be kicking themselves when it all comes good in the coming months.

Yes. Which it makes it even harder to understand. Also Oilex were obviously approved as operators, so you'd think it would have been quickly nodded through.

Hadn't even thought about GOI approval for a jv until buci mentioned it. It is a fact that the GOI took 10 months to approve the transfer from gspc. Certainly hope it is much quicker this time.
It is a very disappointing fact that the sp has continued to drop since the flow rate was announced. That indicates that the market isn't buying the company's assertion that the flow rate indicates robust economics going forward. I wasn't convinced until my email exchange with Roland. That leads me onto the last point.
What the hell is wrong with wanting Roland to do an interview to explain why the market has got it wrong?

Yes, I am sure Roland has his preferred targets. We are all aware of his very successful history. However, assuming GOI approval IS required we are in their hands on that. Given hiw desperate they are for gas might be quick this time.

Don't agree at alll Yuri. An enthusiastic interview where he explained that the flow rates achieved, in spite of falling well short of the targets they set themselves, can still with multi zoned new wells, give highly commercial flow rates, would do the world of good. It's part if the job.
