Can't say I remember that Callum. The whole point of the fracking problems Oilex had was that the Cambay geology was very different to North America with much softer rocks and high clay content. Still fair to say though, that it might take a few more trys to get optimum conditions. Atb.

Eagle. I see it as more of a reassurance exercise than new information. The market simply does not believe Roland's assertion that given the much lower than expected flow rate from the refrac the new wells will have a viable 4 mmscfd.
If I was asking the questions I would ask Roland why he is so sure that they will be viable. If he gives a really bullish answer, I would expect a decent jump in the sp.

Hi Eagle. Good comment about the placing being at 0.21 when the sp was close to 0.3. There were some on here who claimed that the placing was at a premium because it was a few percent higher than the sp when it was announced, when of course the price would have been agreed earlier when the price was much higher. Every previous placing was at a discount and this was no different. Republic have supported Oilex/Syn through thick and thin, at every raising in all the coming up to 8 years I've been here. Very few attached options have ever exercised as the price has almost always subsequently fallen. I'm not that worried about being in at 0.19, as I think if it comes good at all, it should pass that easily. Thought they might have made some comment about the flow rate holding up by now. Anyway, let's hope for some good jv news in the coming weeks. Atb.

Well done Eagle on getting in at such a low level and a sensible approach. A recognition that the company is nowhere near where they expected to be in terms of flow rate and sp, but at the same time see the potential for recovery from this low ebb. I certainly would be a lot happier getting in at this level rather than my actual average of 0.19.
What we need to hope for is that potential jv partners see the refac as the success that Roland says it is, rather than the opposite, which seems to be the market's viewpoint. You'd think that with Roland's reputation he would be able to convince them.

I do have insomnia at the moment but it's nothing to do with Syn, thanks. The state of the markets have very little to do with the sp of a share like this, unlike my Lloyd's shares unfortunately.

Fair enough Alan. Never asked Roland about that in email exchanges with him. It's now that we need that investment. It's one thing not to be bothered about day to day fluctuations but it's worrying when it's relentlessly in one direction.

Sausage. I would say that it's not a case of Roland coming out with good news, more a case of telling the world why the news we already have is good.

On 26th September, I said, how depressing that it was possible to buy at 0.139. Well, it is now about 17 % below that.
I am quite happy to take Roland's word for it, if he says that the current flow rates indicate that new wells with sufficient frac zones, will have robust economics. After all, he is staking his whole reputation on it.
However, it is becoming painfully evident that the market simply does not believe it. All they can see is that they said the refrac target was 2 mmscfd and eventually announced something more than 90% below that.
We have to believe that viewpoint to be wrong, but the market just ain't buying it (literally).

AH. Do you get some sort of perverse pleasure out of being provocative? It's just boring.
