They have said that the solution would be done within the existing budget. Whether that will still apply with the long delay and possibly more expensive solution is anybodies guess.
Last. They have said that it's the high 40 % aromatic content that is the concern. However, as I said before Viton has been around for so long the data should be out there somewhere.
wwal. Well done on getting in at that price. Must have been around Dec 2020. A real act of faith. At that time there was a strong possibility the company wouldn't survive.
wwal. Roland said this in an email exchange in November. " We urgently wish to drill new wells to build our Cambay production base but as has been stated previously, we are seeking to farm out up to 50% of the Cambay license and we hope the buy in price will be a “carry” for two wells by the successful farmee."
Pretty much agree with that VF. Don't know about any companies having a stock og suitable pumps. What I do know that Viton has been around for such a long time that it seems surprising that there isn't some data somewhere on it being exposed to this sort of environment.
Pretty surprised that it has taken 6 weeks to get to this point. Would have thought they would have been exposing the Viton to the high aromatic condensate from the start.
It won't scupper the jv discussions but it will delay signing of any deal. This confirms my comments yesterday that the exact nature of the solution has cost implications for the new wells.
Agreed sausage. Not that far if someone is keem enough. Not sure of the necessity though. Not a lot to see you'd think. Of course we don't know for sure if Roland's visit is anything to do with the conference. Hopefully a Tweet will tell us more.
It may not be a show stopper sausage bit it's hard to see how a deal can be finalised without it being resolved. At the very least the difficulty / cost of removing the condensate on the new wells must effect the terms of any deal.
It certainly has Zag. At the risk of repeating myself, I don't see a jv signing up until the condensate issue is resolved, which looks like being a while yet.
Just checked sausage. The conference is in Bengaluru, which is around 1000 miles from Gujarat. Personally, don't see a site visit as a necessity at this early stage for what is likely to be preliminary discussions.
Given that there were previously frequent updates on flow rates there is no conceivable reason to not publish them now even if they are going down, which we know is going to happen at some point. It would still be nice to know. More important is the solving of the condensate issue. Until that happens no jv is going to sign on the dotted line.
perhaps the recent nice rise might mean a nice rns. It is now 6 weeks since we had an update on the condensate removal and 8 weeks since any flow rates. Also looks like there won't be a quarterly report. Interesting to see what happens to the sp today. Gla.
