Buci. Yes Roland did say that things were moving at the potential jv's timescale. Syn need it to happen quickly, the other party won't. Ultimately might have to accept a less than optimum deal .

They may well do that but they have far bigger projects they could refer to like this offshore one from Reliance and BP.

That's 900 mmscfd when fully on stream. The Cambay field peaks at 25 mmscfd for 10 wells and maybe double that for the full field development.

Not trying to downplay Cambay, as I said, it's huge for Syn but not in national terms.

In an rns of 26th April they said they had received an express of interest in acquiring a controlling interest and operatorship.

" Synergia Energy Ltd (the "Company" or "Synergia") notes that it has received a non-binding expression of interest for the acquisition of up to 51 per cent. participating interest, and operatorship, in its Cambay Block PSC (the "Expression of Interest"), in return for a carried interest in the drilling of a to be defined number of development wells."

I asked Briana about this on 1st September.

If we gave up 51% we would lose overall control but we have no intention of doing so. We aim to maintain control of the Cambay PSC.

No it wasn't, they were given in the presentation as the prices Syn expect to get as a long term average. Future production will be at the estimated average high pressure price of $15. In the previous presentation last December they used s ludicrous $40. The change to $15 was the reason the NPV profit for the 10 well model was massively downgraded.

The sums given in the presentation are $8.57 low pressure and $15 high pressure. Can't be bothered to quibble any more.

If the capping cost $100k they could recoup in 1 to 2 months or even less. I think we can assume Roland thinks it's worth it.

This well will be irrelevant once the new wells are producing at 4 mmscfd each but the income will be useful in the interim. A raise looks very likely.

I doubt it will have changed much in the last 2 months. They don't get the high pressure price until they are producing 10 mmscfd.

Even 0.5 mmscfd gives an extra $55k per month.

Say 0.65 mmscfd around $ 110 k per month.

Here are some actual numbers from the August presentation. For the moment let's assume they reach the target of 1 mmscfd

The gas will be at the low pressure rate of $8.57 per MCF. So 1 mmscfd will give $8570 per day. 1 mmscfd typically produces 40 barrels of condensate at $80 per barrel, so that's another $3200 per day. So we have a total of $11770 per day or around $350,000 per month.

So even if they get to only 0.5 mmscfd it's $175,000 a month.

The current 0.35 mmscfd would give about $120,000 per month.

So even if they increase from the current 0.35 mmscfd to 0.5 mmscfd it is definitely worth it anything above that, very much so.
