It looks like on android at least we are climbing further. People are Christmas shopping which is helping. The crazy BTC free trading offers and referral fee offers are not helping us at all!. 50,000 downloads was recorded on appbrain a long time ago, it is only showing up today as 50,000 installs. Either way, i think it is low and we are further ahead in the user base than appbrain tells us at the moment.

They might try and go for a mega number of 150k plus at year end. They are always very cagey on exactly what the number is which is madness. Volatility in BTC and yet we missed the boat in revenue generation because of the 0% fee offer. The only way to get the number up is through a three pronged approach. New markets, more coins and merchants. One more market could boost things significantly even with their limited product offering.
