Luckily I care not who wins. In fact, I want both to win! As they both should. No comparisons necessary betwixt them as they play on different pitches, even if their touchlines are only 2 miles apart.
Two teams that have never played one another.
They may not even be in the same division.
Some have new players. Some just a different attacking style. But do you know what? Both teams are becoming noticed. Both teams have fans and press coverage and potential to win trophies, accolades and potential buyouts/ partners and investment.
Never have I been so sure that my teams will do well. No question regarding the skills we have and stadiums we play in. Just who will grab the opportunity to score the hat-trick or stunning goal that triggers a lifetime memory for the ardent followers.

DM has said many times that they want tho get the most advantage out of their efforts for the the least cost. This shallow TAI-2 drill is precisely that. This is what the bod have decided to do for now in the interests of possibly buying some thinking time whilst having a 2nd stab ( and maybe greater understanding) of the shallower layers. It seems logical to me.
If it works. Absolutely fantastic for us all. If it doesn’t, will the knives will be out again? I think patience is required in quite big portions together with a little realism.

The article does say that the judges voiding decision will likely be appealed. It reads as a temporary delay to me, that doesn't stand much chance of blocking conoco-p. But I could be wearing rose tinted specs.?

Roll on the next RNS that explains what the new recruits were brought in to do. So far, its not obvious, so therefore, there has to be announcements on our other projects. IMO
Today's RNS for me was slightly disappointing, but not unexpected. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

IMO, There should be some shifting of opinions, hopefully positively in support of the board's clear excitement for
- the coming webinar and positives that will come from this
- ongoing negotiations for deals
- the next 12 months drilling and flow testing.
Hopefully PANR has plenty of scope for further gains if the anticipated deals are reached and the market begins to realise what we have here.

I for one will be listening intently on the 25th and beforehand for clues(?) and so should anyone invested here or considering a punt.

Worth reading the last RNS several times to make your own minds up as well as listening to presentations from earlier in the year.

I'm hoping to spark some discussion as it's quiet again, which seems surreal to me considering the potential upside. Maybe the investors on this site are a little more poised and less easily influenced by external chitchat.

As reported in the Aug. 8 issue of Petroleum News, 88 Energy says studies done in conjunction with Merlin 1 post well testing and analysis have confirmed additional upside oil potential in the Umiat oil field, which was the first oil field discovered on Alaska’s North Slope and is a two-lease unit.

Oh yes. FIVE years they have been planning this.
Why did the drill break?.
Why did they encounter zones that their techniques weren't able to cope with?
Did they have the right equipment? I'd bet my life that they did not. If not, why not?
Managers need to be accountable for their actions. They need to report in more detail what the failures were here. I for one will not allow them to drill again until they know what they are doing.

As it stands with only risked assets, I imagine we'd get bugger all. We need a successful drill or 2 before we can even think of letting wolves gobble us up. We need independently assessed proven discoveries.
If Minchin would care to declare TAI1 a confirmed discovery to the world that would be different. But the drill broke and the gas we found didn't hang around long enough to put a cork in the lab flask. I hope they're drilling again by weekend. All holidays are cancelled David. No bugger else has had one.

It was always the case that things would turn nasty if some folk weren't happy with the risk that THEY took. Look in the mirror at the guy to blame.
I am relaxed. Nothing has changed really except a huge over reaction and panic sells.
My take is this paragraph.

That's all we need for now. Plus the forward plan....
Oh and don't forget the forward plan .... tomorrow would be nice. A long wait without reporting to shareholders would be totally unprofessional and unacceptable. IMO.

Thanks Arsenal and Squirrel. I can totally appreciate both your views. I personally am going to hold as I do think the market hasn't yet twigged how big this could be, very quickly.
I think the the global race to cut carbon emissions is a big reason for investors caution. Which may in turn make good deals more difficult. However, the talk a few months ago of oil supply shortages and $100 barrel prices should in my view get some of our potential partners loosening their grip on their purse strings soon.
Deals may never be as good as we would like, but deals will definitely be available. The frustration in the RNS is clear to me too.
