Would these estimations still remain similar if they JV first before buyout? I don't really understand the value of the asset FRR has and how it factors into mcap. FRR has a mcap of roughly £60million which obviously does not reflect a potential asset sale of 11 billion. When does that asset become realised in the value of the company? Once that assets is proven feasible by a major putting a realistic bid based on that? If they don't another competitor will pay it's worth instead for the assest? What is to stop a major building a controlling stake alternatively for much cheaper for a buyout that way?
Sorry for the noob questions. Feel like I should know this stuff
I would argue this is in a much reliable position given there is 2 majors involved and at least 1 is supposedly currently trying to flesh out a deal. I was in GGP and as far as i know there was never any actual speak of deal being done, although i was optimistic as well as many others that no news was in fact good news with what was happening with Newmont. Not only that but FRR is actually producing oil with a revenue with possible scope to expand and has a CPR of its actual resources unlike GGP. I don't think even if both majors left the table it would warrant a 80% drop from this sp at all. I'd be quite interested to hear speculation on that 'what if' scenario of FRR going alone to increase its oil production and it's feasible sp by more knowledgeable posters

Can some link it for the millionth time please for a friend, it doesn't appear to be in my history and I can't send the file as it's too large. Thanks in advance
1p is a big psychological/sentiment barrier. I wasn't referring to what was said last night coming to fruition, i meant the actual 'updated' news being officially released to market
Before off travelling east Asia - back in time for Christmas. Hopefully be past 1p by then. If they release an RNS confirming some of the content of last night i'd hope a lot sooner!
Usually 7am rns with confirmation of meeting reminder that the presentation is available to view on their website for tonight. I can't really think of reasons why they would have deviated from the normal if this was going to be like the last few box ticking meetings with no new info. Could be interesting... For better or for worse
Call me misery guts but the last 2 meetings there has been a huge buzz and they have turned out to be flat liners. Excitement for this one is well and truly repressed. I'm not falling into that trap and await the " Zaza had a gleam in his eye" observations from attendees.
Obviously I hope to be momentarily wrong but i refuse to get excited this time around.
