Good luck. Who knows how low it could get down to in the current down draft? I'll certainly be adding more should it get there, but broadly speaking for CPI to get there one of 2 things need to happen. 1. Bad broader markets come through in the coming days/weeks 2. Bad h1 update from CPI. I can live with option 1, but option 2 just can't be good. I'm probably done adding at these levels, but may nibble some more.

It's been a good couple of days to accumulate CPI. That's what I've been doing as its sitting at the bottom end of the range and I'm pretty sanguine about prospects in the coming period/s. I'm not sugar-coating the performance since the jump in early March and the momentum has been slaughtered by the Hack news and the accompanying news flow, but I don't see how much has changed fundamentally - but, we'll know more in the next 6 weeks or so when the H1 update is released.

Lol..ahh that outstanding gross debt. @pedro - have you even considered the fact that investing the cash on the balance sheet in even 2-year gilts generates higher interest income than the interest payments to be made against that debt - the average interest rate against the debt is like 3% and 2-year gilts are yielding more than 5% - just a tiny relevant tidbit for you.

I'm a buyer tomorrow - low volume selloffs are always welcome and fundamentally nothing has changed here, other than the fact that weak hands are showing up in some numbers in the absence of buying support. We're now lower than on the 1st of March before the 2022 results were announced and this silly weakness is a good buying opp/

Near term weakness is unwarranted, but who am I to judge? It turns out the FearFul and Aimster got the SP action right near term (and credit is to be given where its due), and the longs who were looking at both near term and long term fundamentals, got this right, and we're now potentially waiting for longer for the SP to turn around. The next financial update should lay down the impact of the data leaks on business and if the current weakness is warranted. We'll know in 6 to 8 weeks time...

And the incoming deflationary environment in the medium term should do it for us - no matter what happens in the near term.

I'm bullish medium term, but near term, who knows. The market can act in a pretty knee-jerk fashion to an increase in interest rates and trying to price in a recession probability, and hence the price action in the past 2 days. However, its encouraging to see how the SP has reacted in the face of broader market weakness I've built a decent position here, and will add more at these and lower levels, should the price get there. Let's see if Matt can finally deliver a positive set of results after a series of shi*ite update after another. The upside is fantastic should the management team finally deliver for long suffering shareholders!!!

And the bears are milking the 'fears' over the recent cyber hack. It was unfortunate, but at least in the near term, they're the ones who're winning and our excellent progress after 2022 results were announced, is in the rear view. The dust will settle, eventually, and the cash generation ability of the business will be shown to the market. We may have to wait some though.

The floor price for the 35% EPL is too low, IMO, and is yet another reason why HBR should and will diversify away from the UK NS

Unless, the floor is coupled with a US acquisition/merger..I'm medium term optimistic, particularly if a US merger goes through!! This is in the value share bucket, however not to say it can't cheaper in the near term.

The UK government has introduced a price floor for the windfall tax on oil and gas producers, arguing that it is necessary to support investment and boost the country’s energy security.

The tax rate, which was raised to 75 per cent last year at the peak of the energy crisis, will revert to the pre-crisis level of 40 per cent if oil and gas prices fall below their long-term average under the so-called Energy Security Investment Mechanism.

The floor has been set at $71.40 for crude oil and £0.54 a therm for gas. Both would need to average below that level for two consecutive quarters to trigger the reduction in the tax rate.

The Talos merger is the easiest/quickest way for HBR to gain a US stock exchange listing. There could be many other 'better' ways, such as making a GoM asset acquisition, but then listing that company and gaining enough recognition in the US markets would take a bit of time. Given that the UK stock market is as good as dead for UK/NS O&G companies, Talos would represent the quickest value unlocking mechanism for HBR - IMO.

@moyes - I don't think that you've even been looking at Capita's financials/AR, but the assets held for sale has been categorised separately away from core Capita and the revenue growth run rates/ebitda targets are based on core Capita and not these assets held for sale!!!
