Unfortunately, OnLiquidGround can't really read an RNS. Regurgitate a headline is something she's proficient at, and only if it's if positive to Messiah Mouldy's agenda. She and her fellow pumpers were on here proclaiming you had nothing to close by buying at 87p just before the NY and then the shiite RNS lands on time - well it's only a small matter of a 20+% fall after that pump.

Stop being silly now please as you're not even making an apples to apples comparison. Kevin's revenues grew 40% from 2021 to 2022, and at that growth rate a 5.7x multiple to sales may well be justified. THG Nutrition revenues grew 2% from 2021 to 2022, and you're saying that Nutrition will get somewhere near that multiple (where can I find that banging the head against a wall emoji?) THG nutrition is currently a low growth company and putting P/S valuations on it is pointless. A better metric would be EDITDA multiples and if I were to put a typical 10 to 15x multiple to EBITDA, we get to £750mill based on 2022 EBITDA and applying a multiple of 15. Not these fictionary over the top fantasy valuation of £2/£3 billion that were bandied about just today.

The opportunity for THG is to grow revenues/EBITDA in 2024 and if they show growing revenues/EBITDA to the market and the SP will then move up. Till then please do keep us entertained daily on the various flavours that Nutrition is churning out as at least that isn't silly ramping and doesn't need numbers to corroborate.

Prox - why would the market in reality give a toss about Goodwill when putting a value on a company on a daily basis? The market is rife with examples where Goodwill was inflated and fraudulently, and ultimately that had to be impared. Take Carilion, or take HP's purchase of Autonomy and the enormous impairment they had to take once Autonomy's fraud came out into the open. I'd actually be very wary of a company where intangible assets such as Goodwill are a large chunk of their overall asset size.

I own a supposed growth stock like THG because of the potential revenue growth that could be in the offing if Mouldy actually does his job and then doesn't torpedo that good work by doing what he does best, being shareholder unfriendly. I haven't invested in THG because they have large amount of goodwill on the balance sheet!!!

Good post, Yespsb. I suspect that OSG must be from Mouldy's PR department, and this is only going by his/her incessant promotion of the wonderfully healthy protein frozen food flavours available at Iceland (and a few other supermarkets thrown in for good measure). Now, I have no problem with PR chaps coming on here to promote Mouldy's products, but then proclaiming that global F&B giants are now on the hunt for THG on the back of Messiah Mouldy's posts on Linked-in, is for me a step too far.

I'm slowly but surely getting convinced that no other PEs/bidders will emerge unless the SP trundles along at these (or lower) levels for a few more quarters OR if Mouldy actually does a hail mary and actually splits the 3 divisions to allow bidders to then cherry pick what they may want to invest in/buy out. Do we think that Mouldy is capable of such an action, particularly when he's backed by the most canny recent investment he's made, A la Kong?

Apostle Anacott, it isn't marketwide. My other major holding, Capita, has moved up from circa 15p at the end of October, and is holding just fine in this 'sell-off'. OK, there'a a new CEO incoming in a couple of weeks and board members getting replaced is probably helping, and is a suitable sign for Mouldy Molding? Scoring own-goals and handing it to the market on a platter shouldn't be a sensible strategy in any investor's books.

Personally, I don't do leveraged investments other than buying stock options on the NYSE/Nasdaq. I thought I was looking for value at THG after a brutal sell-off from 2021, but I didn't contend with Kong I'm afraid.

In the meantime whilst we wait for updates on strategy fr Mouldy, we on this board just to have to make ourselves content with the news of various Iceland products and flavours being released, and the mind-blowing sales/EBITDA they're generating for for THG.

In my firm opinion, 300p is just around the corner as the Iceland collaboration news must be turning heads at Nestle and other suitors in the F&B space. We just need to be patient - patience is of the essence whilst Kong looks out for us!!

Ahh, you don't need to worry about Ingenuity, Hardwell. As saint Mouldy has already proclaimed to his trusting Apostles and the market totally knows and buys this, it was valued at circa £1bill by Apollo.

A recovering economy backed by rate cuts is about the only thing that can push up THG's SP on a sustained basis. Is another bid possible - maybe if rates drop substaintially and the SP doesn't move up substantially from here. All IMO.

"Hope keeping old McDonald was worth the share holder value destruction" - not to worry, Iceland will come to the rescue sometime in the next decade or two with an EBIDTA that matters to the market. As someone said a couple of days ago they had to hold on to Mac as a reward for the fake Belerion bid in 2022 - who gives a toss about governance, heh? Market's views of Mouldy and his outsized impact on THG are constantly reinforced by these shenanigans - who can blame these participants though!!!

As Sharehead said, I remember Aim stating this in a post many a moons ago. Plus, she does have the patience of a saint and doesn't respond to monikers like 'AimLess', which I'm guilty of. AimM - i know you'll be reading these posts and I want to say its not personal. ;-) You do make Aimlesss posts and hence an easy enough moniker. I have both NoClue and AimLess on filter and its blissful - it's mind-numbing reading about CPI's Flied Lice price targets everyday from NoClue in his Shanghai basement and AimLess likes to imagine that her knowledge following US indexes has a fundamental bearing on CPI's stock price on a day to day basis. Goodness - can't we get intelligent trolls on here?

He may learn yet, but there's not a real sign now that he's headed in that direction.

When Messiah Moldy and his apostles deliver shiite to the market (again) and cause a self-goal15% drop in a couple of days, would you blame us numpties for looking past his cult's proclamations and add a trading position? Until Moldy truly focuses on delivering what the market wants to hear, cold hard numbers - revenue growth/EBITDAFCF alongside intangibles like proper governance, unfortunately THG is but a trading share stuck in a trading range. It will need a Moldy beat on these metrics OR another bid to take this out of the trading range to the upside - surely that can't be a surprise?

That is spot on, IMO. Some clueless posters gleefully lap up whatever lightweight Mouldy throws in his pets' direction and there are plenty of them on here for sure. The THG messiah cult is well and truly alive inspite of Mouldy's repeated failings in doing anything resembling shareholder centric and proper governance oriented decision making. I bought quite a few yesterday and today only because I believe this is a good trading opportunity and not because I believe anything that Mouldy says in his RNS'. Ingenuity valued at more than the THG SP by Apollo in their bid - that's comedy gold!!! Let's see if Mouldy & Co finally give us a positive operational surprise in the next update - I, and no doubt some of the more non-cult holders. await with bated breath for a pleasant surprise.

It's precisely this line of thinking that will ensure shareholders are treated exactly like Hubris moulding thinks they should be - Gar*bage. I can understand THG going down with the broader market, but not to own-goals like the RNS today. Algos are on the lookout for shiite RNS' and Mouldy & Co delivers them with relentless accuracy. Until this lot properly change their mindset to align with what the broader market expects to see from a shareholder centric CEO/management, THG's SP will be tossed around by the market like it is today. No surprise there!!!

Envious much, Manchego? At least he/she is making money instead of being tossed around by the market unfriendly, lightweight Moulding. He isn't in the market friendly mould of US tech CEOs and so expecting THG to give shareholders many multiples from here is but a pipe dream. Another Apollo bid of anywhere near 150p would be a great outcome and I could then buy stocks that could truly multi-bag.

HNY 2024 all. Don't use logic or market worings with either AimLess or NoClue - that just doesn't cut it. It's not a surprise that they can't see the trees for the woods and put together a simple investment thesis that revolves around what could happen to outsourcing/consulting business volumes when the inevitable economic growth rebounds on the back of rate cuts. FTSE has had a shiite 2023 with CPI performing worse, admittedly for the right reasons. However, stock market investing isn't a backward/backside looking game. IMO, this year will finally see a suatained breakout in CPI after many years of 'Jam Tomorrow' under JL. So long JL, and just over 2 weeks until AH takes over the reins. All to invest for here!!
