Cost reduction increased from £40m to £60m annually...Way to go and a reduction that there is too much support overhead in the business with the vast number of asset sales now completed!!

It looks like there was a second lot tender alongside the Civil Services Pension Scheme, to also manage the Royal Mail Pension scheme and that was worth £48m over 10 years. You'd think that Capita will win that contract too - assuming that the comemrcials stack up?

I don't mean to rub it in, AimLess, but if CPI's SP was to get down to 14p from here, it would certainly mean that we have bigger issues with the broader market tanking because of either recession concerns in the US or a Black Swan event - the timing of either is a complete unknown and who knows, the global economy may just continue to surprise to be upside and mitigate these fears. We'll see won't we?

AimLess - Personally I don't really care about what happens today.; it's where the price is at 2 or 6 months from now that's of some consequence. Good luck with the AimLess 14p though!!!

Spot on and it's clearly the case given the volume and size of most recent hacks around the globe, including the massive one at ICBC. If anything, CPI has tightened cyber security policies internally and has implemented additional proactive hack prevention software to prevent such an incident happening in the future. There shouldn't be any further blowback and insurance should cover additional claims that arise.

In the meantime, these additional contract wins and FCF generation should only help CPI's SP regain lost ground over the coming quarters - notwithstanding the ridiculous valuations of companies listed on the LSE that result in outsized bids such as the recent one for Hotel Chocolat.

Maybe we can go back to being a good anti-recession stock on the back of strong public sector backlog + pipeline, and a stabilising Experience business where based on broad industry trends, IT and outsourcing spend is ticking up slowly since the back-end of Q3.

I still stick to my investment thesis - never ever qualify AimLess as a Master - she's probably the worst trader I can think of. 14p - LMAO, as the directional trends were getting as clear as they could get.

CPI is still undervalued and should go a lot higher from these levels. And the trading update in December, which is Jon's last update under his leadership - he wouldn't ever shaft this, tbh.

AimLess is still, no doubt, wandering around busking for 14p donations....

That's a nice summary, Hope1815. Poor AimLess would have got to line 2 of that writeup and figured that's beyond their comprehension - not a surprise. I'm still a buyer at these levels and there's just about 4 1/2 weeks till the operations update and then there's the incoming news about the final asset disposal for this cycle. We know its been a few tough months since August, but that tide is turning, IMO.

"why do you end the posts with "imo"?" - not to put words in Sharehead's mouth, but I don't see every post of his/her ending with an IMO, unlike AImLess' every single post. You state the facts but when you then say I expect this to be 30p you'd qualify that with an IMO, because that it isn't a fact. That isn't too hard to grasp I don't think.

Poor AimLess - still trying to be relevant with her irrelevant 'research' post - I don't see what research, either technical or fundamental, would actually show CPI would hit an all-time low. :-) Granted, if there's a large-scale market sell-off on the back of an incoming US recession, then that warrants every stock selling off a good bit from here, but that's not the macro-economic setup at this time.

@Sharehead - yes, today's proft-taking in the broader markets is what you'd expect to see after a massive runup last week, and it's a good sign that CPI held up as well as it did. It's still nibble-time, imho.

I can only feel sorry for poor 14pAimLess. Good luck, AimLess - when the macro turns against you, you need real investment strategies and not keep parroting broken lines.

For this to happen (£1), Adolfo needs to be the true saviour - who knows, he may pull it off!!! 50p for starters will be good, but for that to materialise a true turnaround with substantial FCF generation is needed. He did a great job at SDL, I just hope that he does this at CPI too!!

AimLess - imho, you'll have better joy aimlessly posting on here than getting the SP to drop to the 14 handle. :-) The broader market looks (for now) sanguine about the US economy in Q4 and that's reflected in US stocks performance, and by extension, European stocks performance this week. I did say when I sold out a majority of my CPI holdings that I'll look to get back in closer to Adolfo takes over in December, but what's a month early between friends . 10 year treasuries/gilt yields are dropping and that's a big plus for the wider economy + market - at least going into the 2 strongest months of the year, historically.
