RE: May 17th Update25 May 2018 16:14
Without too much in the way of hard fact, it's easy to come up with any story you like. I can think of quite a few good ones myself, ranging from bankruptcy to untold riches. But how about this one:
LJ and GC realise at the end of last year that the company is sitting on a bonanza and will never be able to raise the money to exploit it to its maximum potential within any kind of reasonable time period. Getting the tantalum production up to maximum potential will need lots of water and new machinery, both of which will cost plenty. And don't even think about exploiting the lithium deposits (which, based on JORC results which GC and LJ almost certainly know, are high-grade and extensive). So they go looking for a JV partner, find one (i.e., lots of money but no minerals), agree in principle, and set to work to hammer out details. The other side needs accounts redone acording to IFRS and this is done. They carry out due diligence and kazera passes the test. This is now getting serious, so kazera takes on a very experienced and probably expensive financial man (remember him?) to oversee the financial end of the JV negotiations and perhaps to become the new JV's financial director. (Why else would someone like that join a minnow like kazera?) Seeing as there will soon be enough cash to ramp up tantalum production quickly and efficiently, superfluous, inefficient personnel are let go. Both sides agree that to make it a fair deal, the license's entire potential ought to be evaluated and this is being done. Meanwhile, everything else is put on the back burner, pending a final deal. Announcement not long after the current survey work is completed.
Fantasy? Yes, of course it is, because all we have to go on are a couple of scraps of information and we have to try to make some sense out of them. And we don't even know which scraps to believe. But this story is just as believable as some of the other stories I've seen here. I try to be objective in my investment decisions, but after many years of investing in and trading shares, I know that's never really possible and we often go on feel and hunches. Hunches are often totally wrong, but still....
