Triumph - Iām glad we agree in terms of the previous dilution. In relation to shareholder value, I donāt think it would have been any better if they stood still with no funds and unable to explore any other avenues. Essentially the wildcat industry is taking a well educated stab and hoping to hit a jackpot. The dilution allows the company to make more attempts at the jackpot, providing the opportunity for significant shareholder value in the future.
I agree with your comment about the fluff and presentation. When I saw some recycled slides in the presentation I was disappointed. But how much ānewā information can be produced each time? I know we are all eager to hear more facts and details but Iāve come to learn this is a very slow game with oil exploration (other than when there is a drill & flow test)!
I could be wrong, but Iām sure the shares in issue was about 16.5B. Thatās a rough increase of 25% with todays shares. If they hit a jackpot; they can then profit (largely) from the sale of the find in a variety of ways, in which they would be self funded for future ventures.
So back to the 4p comment. This was before the flow test results and it fell on negative news. If it had been positive, how much higher would it of gone? Even if this stock hits 2p before the flow test, positive news may send this stock well beyond 4p. 5p seems it would be the relative target this time around based on current shares in issue.
Just takes the one big find to change everything. This is what it has always been about. GLA.
